I'm tearing my hair out at work at the moment.
We have someone working as our storeman who is driving me up the wall. Firstly, there is a language barrier which makes it difficult to get information correct and it takes a lot of effort at times to get him to understand, and find out what I need to know. It's so frustrating. Basically, I need to know the answer to the question I'm asking in order to get the correct answer, if you know what I mean?
Also with the language barrier thing is that his following instructions is pretty hit and miss - the other day I gave him a (full) tin of adhesive and asked him to pour a small amount of adhesive into an empty can for a customer to sample. I gave him the empty can, and showed him on the empty can where I wanted the adhesive to go up to (as in, how much to put in). I left him to it and and he gave it to the customer. 10 minutes later he came in and asked me what to do with the adhesive can I gave him. I asked what did he mean? He said, should be throw it away? It was empty! He'd just poured the contents of one can into the other and given the whole thing to the customer! $100.00 can of adhesive! Aside from the fact I'd explained to him clearly what I wanted done, where is the common sense? Wouldn't you stop and wonder why you were transferring something from one can to another? It's like this day in day out.
Another thing which I find completely bizzare is that he seems to have a whole 'honour' thing going on I suppose you'd call it - I've started arriving at work early so that I can avoid arriving at the same time as him it's so awkward. As soon as I pull up he rushes to the door of my car and starts trying to take my stuff off me, and then he's rushing to the office door to open it for me ... except he'll actually push me out of the way to do it (which is awkward when I've got the blimmin key in the lock trying to unlock it!)! He did this the other day and I dropped all my stuff on the ground!
There's not much I can do about it - although I'm getting pretty sh*tty in general with it, and losing patience fast (Ahhh ... who am I kidding? It's lost already).
My boss thinks it's hilarious watching me getting closer and closer to losing my rag
