Hey there,

I've just had a free make over done by these and was really impressed with their products. Looking at MAYBE becoming a distributor what are peoples impressions or opinions on Mary Kay things or experiences they've had?

Thanks.

Yep what Bizzy said. They are very pushy with having parties and joining up etc

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I also found them super pushy - just couldn't get rid of the woman. I must admit, I loved some of their products - but I can't handle feeling pushed into things (and I'm a complete sucker who can't say no!).

I had a mary kay lady come to my house and do makeup etc to find stuff that matches my skin tone.. I found her GREAT! No pressure at all and was really supportive when I said I was on a budget cos we'd just bought our first home...

Great products but I boycott them cause they are SOO pushy!! A friend of mine decided to become a distributor but before signing up, she held a Mary Kay party at her place where the lady came and gave us all make-overs. We were all impressed with the products and I ended up buying quite a bit. It all had to be ordered so of course I had to provide my contact details..... took almost 2yrs for the woman to get the hint that I DIDN'T want to become a distributor OR hold a party! She would ring me at least once a week, send me letters etc. I'd answered her calls twice to tell her to take me off her list but after that I just started ignoring her calls. But the contact kept up, she even turned up at my house one day with a pack saying I could have it free of charge if I signed up!! ( I didn't take it) OMG! Drove me insane. As good as the products are, their pushiness has put me off big time! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I had a Mary Kay lady do my makeup for my wedding and she wasn't pushy at all.

I think it depends on the person as there can be pushy people in all things ie tupperware, avon, lingerie parties....they are all commission based sales.
