I'd be interested to know how long it has taken people to ovulate again after a mc. Or alternatively how long it has taken them to get a period.

Hey there,

well i miscarried two weeks ago today, and i started ovulating yesterday, i know becasue i got my usual ovulation pains, and the hunger kicked in, but everyone is different, it can take up 4-6 wks for your af to come back after a miscarriage.

In saying that apparently you are super fertile after a miscarriage so its possible to get pregnant again without af arriving

as I posted in another thread - same as Kazzle, I got real bad pains 2 weeks after my D&C and then AF 2 weeks after that, almost exactly a month to the day I had my D&C. The doctor said that the pains would've been ovulation! After that I started charting to find out exactly when I was and using OPKS! Good Luck!

I thought I ovulated on day 13 after the miscarriage started but it could be today (day 15). I never chart, just go by discomfort and mucous.

Actually, now I'm wondering too. I had a little bit of CM today and in theory I shouldn't if I've already ovulated. My temp did go up this morning but not by heaps. Will have to wait and see what happens tomorrow.

Good luck guys!!

I didn't chart after my MC, so I didn't know, but when I went to the specialist and got a scan, he said that my ovary had ovulated as it looked all spongy.

I think if you haven't really had any issues with ovulation, you do tend to ovulate again straight away, especially if you have a natural miscarriage, as your HCG falls rapidly.

Anyway, hoping for great strong eggies and new BFPs.

Hugs. xx

Usually my ovulation is really clear but I've had ovulatory CM since Sunday and my left ovary was sore and now my right so I have no idea what is going on in there!

Mine has been less clear than usual too but my temp went up high yesterday so thats a definite sign of ovulation happening on Tues or Weds.

I had ovulation symptoms for 6 days so I'm guessing I must've ovulated on Thurs or Fri which means there will be no BFP this month as we were tired and no BD occured
