We took our little one to Jumping Beans when he was about 9mths old. I think it depends a lot on the instructor, but we didnt enjoy our sessions that much. We then enrolled in Tiny Tots at our local YMCA and thought that was much better. It was a lot more lively, and not as structured. O enjoyed it a whole lot more, and we have only stopped recently (he is nearly 3 now!) When we were at jumping beans, O didnt seem to like the instructor very much, she was a bit "gruff" and he would scream whenever she came near him! Tiny Tots has a much less structured approach whilst still teaching great skills etc.
We went out west for a couple of terms, and it was ok, but very structured. Nat seemed to enjoy herself for the most part....but it did seem rather silly that there was all this cool equipment for them to play on, and we spent half the time sitting in a circle doing the 'compulsory' songs etc Free-for-all would have been more fun!
how young is too young do you think? (obviously not new born he he )
and how old is too old do you think to be doing it?
my 11 month old is already walking etc so just want to build confidence and my 3 year old is a little 'chicken' so want to build her confidence at taking things on, stability, security etc
