I lost heaps of weight during my pregnancy with jacob, about 20 kg, and about 7 kg with Charlotte. Mine was mainly due to chronic morning sickness, and not really eating anything, but as I am a fairly big girl to start off with, and both babies measured well, my mw wasn't too concerned. Obviously, I could afford to lose the weight. In the last month, both times, I regained about 5 kg or so.

Hopefully for you, its nothing to worry about. Maybe your body is working so hard at growing the baby, it is burning off the extra..

i lost 10kg in the first trimester - but mine was due to an awful doctor threatening me with staying in Japan to have baby if my blood pressure didn't go down - if he'd thought about it, those threats probably caused the problemin the first place - anyway, I was on the most boring diet in the world.

not quite the same but i didn't lose anything while preggy with charli but i also didn't gain anything. i think i put on 1kg the whole time and after i had her i was almost 10kgs lighter    i'd been trying to shift that since i had jack

if the baby is measuring ok, then it shouldn't be a problem should it? i don't know. maybe the baby is a lil piggy and eating all your stored fat

Bubs is measuring slightly bigger than my dates but MW says that bubs is very healthy but if i carry on it may not be so i was wondering if anyone had gone through the same thing. Its good to hear others stories im not such an odd ball after all! lol
I lost 15 kgs with my son but i started to put weight back on at about 4 months and in the end had put on 12 kgs so things seemed normal there. I guess that MW thinks the weight loss may not stop! she even asked me if i was actually trying to loose weight! and my reply was "no it sux! not being able to eat anything other than fruit!!!".
I havnt thrown up at all this pregnancy so i guess i havnt lost anything i needed! and the weight is comming off because it shouldnt be there in the first place! lol

Jacksmum maybe you lost weight and then put almost the same back on without noticing! lol

I was kind of hoping that this bubs would use up the room that Bay left in there!
but no such luck! lol i carried low with Bay so only had miner Marks and hanging skin down the bottom but this time im carrying high so the marks are all over the show! my my baggy skin is still there! lol

I wouldn't worry too much about the weight loss then, it seems that baby (as they do) is getting all it needs from you and you're just suffering from a lack of food Hopefully that doesn't continue much longer - you're halfway!! (I would be so exasperated!)

I lost 4kg in my first trimester this time, it's my first pregnancy weight loss and believe me, I didn't have any to lose in the first place. It was because I was feeling so sick but after that feeling went, I gained the weight I lost AND put on the customary 13kg (that's average and what I put on with the other two pg's).

I put on 15kg my last pregnancy and most of that was put on in the first trimester because of MS And then in the last trimester a lot of my gain was also fluid retention. 7 weeks after birth I am now 13kg off my pre preg weight I read somewhere that 12 - 18kg is the normal range.

If you can keep active and avoid comfort eating (definitely harder for me during the pandemic) you can definitely lose the weight you accumulated during pregnancy.

The recommended 150 minutes a week of moderate exercise (or 75 minutes of more intense exercise) definitely helps. That's a couple of walks or online cardio / Zumba / HIIT classes a week.

Yoga helped me lose my weight a lot faster.

Yoga burns calories when done the right way.

If you are serious about losing weight and getting fit, you might want to implement a 60-minute power yoga and/or vinyasa flow practice at least five to six days per week.

This yoga weight loss program was easy to follow and worked for me during my pregnancy when I started gaining too much weight.

Each class is easy to follow, but is varied and enjoyable. Dynamic Sequencing means you'll always be challenged regardless of your current level.

If you want to follow my example, think about coupling your practice with a whole foods diet for optimal results.

Good luck!

Mandy
