being new to all this baby stuff I really don't know what is normal and not but we have a noisy bubba, and only for night time sleeps. We get half an hour of peace, then through the monitor all we hear is grunting, like he is clearing his throat at times, but also can be the same noise he makes wgen feeding.

Does anyone else have this or know of a good way yo stop it.

When I go to check on him 9 times out of 10 he is sound asleep

Hi SB Briona used to be such a loud sleeper, I had to get her out of my room at 2 weeks cause I couldn't sleep! I put her in the next room with no monitor and could easily hear her cry. I probably had both doors wide open to start with for my assurance.

Unfortunately some babies are just noisey sleepers. I'd probably either turn the the sound down slightly on the monitor or the sensitivity on his end or as busymum suggested turn the monitor off and just leave the doors open.

gabriella is the noisiest sleeper...Dh would love her outta the room (mind u his snoring is just as bad if not worse)

In her sleep - she grunts (BIG time!), she farts (loud and obnoxiously), she groans, she snorts, she sighs, she slurps like she is feeding, she squeals ( a high pitched one off one that scares the bejesus outta me when she does it)....OMG she is SOOOOOO noisy and i sleep with her in basinette beside my side of the bed...she wakes me up just grunting in her sleep sometimes...

so not much help to you except to say it is normal...i was told bubbas were noisy to sleep beside before she came and did not believe it.....I do now!

Turn the monitor off? We had Ella in our room for 5 months, and I used to hear her make little noises in her sleep, they were really cute.. probably not so cute if they keep you awake all night tho

We moved Caitlin out of our room at 2 weeks too due to her "noises" which sound just like what Miss Gabriella is up to LOL

We still have her monitor on in her room but have gone from having it all the way up to now only just on, she's still really noisey

I would love to turn the monitor off, but we can't have the doors open as the cats are just too nosey and I don't trust them (one who knows better was up on the bench early this morning so she is no longer trusted at all!)

Perhaps we will go with the very quiet monitor, I would just hate to sleep through his cry.

What is really odd is that he doesn't really do it during the day!

Elle is soo noisey!!! Even when she is awake, so much so our midwife referred us to the pead. Who diagnosed her with Larengo Malasia (sp??) basically it means she has a floppy Larenx (sp?), which she should grow out of - apparently very common in Bubbas. Between her fathers snorring and her breathing its a wonder I get any sleep. Her breathing can sound quite high pitch sometimes, I can hear her in bed from the living room (and thats without a monitor)

Hey there SB - Lockie was a really noisey sleeper too, you used to hear all sorts of noises. I have the moniter on during the day but at night I don't worry. We also have cats so have to shut the doors at night and we still hear him no problem at all if he wakes. Sometimes he cries out in his sleep and we hear that even but he resettles himself. It's amazing what you can still hear through closed doors.
