I'm bored with my hair so I want a change..

Problem is I want something different but I don't know what. ..

I use to be blonde (for about 5 years) and now I'm dark brown (for the last 2-3 years). My natural colour is the most boring mousey brown..

Here are a couple of OLD random webcam photos of my colours..

(scary pics lol)

I can't have a fringe or any short hair because short hair on me goes really curly which is crazy since I have naturally really straight hair. And I can't do red because it makes my skin look like I'm really flushed.

Currently my hair at the back almost reaches my bra strap across my back and its shaped around my face but it's been the same for YEARS

Any ideas?

How about a shorter Katie Holmes / Posh Spice style bob, maybe quite a lot darker as well?

Buy some GHD's and go shorter with confidence - curls will be a thing of the past!

Nah it would just go all curly and bobs don't really suit me at all (i've worn a wig before that was a short bob and looked hideous lol)

And as for straighening it, I simply don't have the patience or will to wanna do that every day. I'm too lazy lol

I'd cut it to your shoulders and layer thru the front and sides, long layers not short. Side parting with a graduated fringe so it goes across your right eye, fringe would be to your ear in length.

I'd go for a chocolate rush colour, dark brown with a teeny bit of red in it.

Caramel brown with highlights?
Definitely highlights for summer.

Yeah I was thinking shoulderish length. Then at least I could tie it back which is handy with Daniel sometimes and my running.

Still really unsure of colour though... I'll be doing that part myself. I'm not going to pay sh*tloads for it when I've coloured my hair for ages and last time I had my hair dyed at a hairdresser I didn't end up paying for it because it was horrible and ended up fixing it myself!

I have this hair! Except mine is a couple of inches below my shoudlers. I really like it this way - easy to care for, easy to style or ok(ish) left. I use a straightener for a few secs every second day and find it holds the next day too.

I recommend this style :)

I have no clue about what style/colour etc .... but I do know of a great place to get your hair cut. Last time I was up in Palmy (in August) I went to The Right Cut on Broadway Ave, opposite New World. Mel, the woman who cut my hair, had won 20 out of 22 regional hairdressing competitions or something. She only works a couple of days a week as she has two young boys.  I just asked her to cut it in a style that would suit me and it's the best haircut I've had in ages, and only cost $35.

hehe my hair dresser does the wickedist haircuts i always love what she does and it only costs $25

As for hair style - I have mine just past my shoulders, straight but with lots of layers and more layered aroundmy face.

Are you wanting a full colours or hightlights?

What I do is the full colour myself and then if i want something to break it I go to the hairdressers for foils. (at the mo dark brown with toffee highlughts underlayers)

You can also get those hair colours where you can do your highlights yourself - thats an option to break the one colour. With summer coming a lighter colour would be nice - perhaps closer to your natural colour with hightlights either dark or lighter?

go to just below your shoulders, and perhaps some layers framing your face , you have quite a highish forehead so a slight side fringe, would suit .

as for colour , i think a lighter brown with perhaps some highlights through it
