Just wondering if anyone had tried a home test for male fertility?
Sorry if this is a bit of a personal subject.

I didn't know that there was such a thing. I can't imagine it'd be that accurate though, to be honest. I know that the different in our male fertility test results between a standard lab and the fertility specialist were quite different, and then of course, there is interpretation of the results.
If you are concerned Konagirl, I think our male fertility test was about $90.00. It may be money well spent to lay your mind at rest.

Yes, I just brought one off Baby4U, was just wondering if anyone else had tried it, used it and then compared it to lab tests. My bf has been a downhill mountain biker for 10 yrs and we're wondering if his little guys still work. Didn't realise a test through a lab cost $90, which isn't much more then what the at home test cost. Although I think it's a better way for said BF to get used to this sort of thing if more tests are going to be needed.

The thing that I don't understand is how on earth does it work? How can it detect morphology and get an accurate percentage for a start? I'd be interested to hear how it goes.

I never knew you got a male fertility test for home use
my DH got his done at the lab and we did not pay anything-they just took his swimmers and gave us the results.

Well we used it yesterday, the result was on the top of the negitive chart. We'll try again in a week or so to compare results. Going to stick with the charting for a couple of months and go see someone if it hasn't worked by April.

Konagirl, my DP is a truck driver and has been for 30 years so his 'bits' spend a lot of time cramped up in a nice, hot place which isn't ideal for fertility and take a bit of knocking around with the suspension, but it hasn't seemed to affect his fertility, Iggle Piggle is his eighth child (yes, I am living with a man-whore ).
