Thanks to my lovely budget I can afford the paint to paint our kitchen and dining room which are joined but I'm so stumped about what colour to paint it!!! So pretty please help me..

We have this colour in our hallway which joins onto the kitchen..

This is the fabric of the curtains in the dining room..

We have roman blinds in the kitchen which is the same kinda grey as in the dining room curtains

We have a forest green bench top with some wood..

And then the living room joins on through like a square archway thing and that room has these curtains..

It also has boring wallpaper but eventually that will go

What on earth will go well with all those colours?

It's currently a bland cream colour that gets dirty with someone even looking at it so its really stupid for a kitchen especially with DH around lol

And I was thinking of taking photos of the actual kitchen but then I'd have to clean it first lol

Are you thinking warms or neutrals? There is a gorgy caramel/mocha kinda colour I've seen on a few peoples walls and it goes with everything but doesn't drain the room or take the focus off the things that are in it...

I'll try and find the paint swatch, but I could be some time LOL

ETA here it is Linky

Warm really going by the rest of the rooms I've painted..

Like our room is purple, kinda a lighter version of the light purple of the living room.

Daniels room is orange.

Bathroom is white but we can't change that one without ripping the walls off and I don't have the motivation for that lol

The "spare room" is eventually gonna be a warm green colour when DH cleans up enough (and for long enough) for me to do it.

I think this one would be nice. For those areas. Kind of goes with your benchtop and the curtains. I wouldn't go too bright either.

We used various shades of tea when we painted our old house, depending how dark you want to go, you can get half tea or quarter tea.

i agree with mels one...we have very similar shade on our walls...and everything goes with it without darkening it down....then we have feature walls of dark blue and orange (YES!) which work so well with it....

our curtains in kitchen and one lounge are similar to yours but brighter....and our room is gold curtains - beige / natural light types work well

dont go darker than that on walls tho or it will darken it right down....esp if there arent heaps of windows etc...

How big are the rooms? If you're feeling bold a red might look good.

Something like this

But it would close in the rooms so no good if they're quite small.

Red wouldn't suit the green at all, nor the curtains for the living room.

I'm fussy and I don't think I like Mel's colour for our house.. just cause the other rooms are much more vibrant colours I guess it would be a bit out of place I think.

Fair enough. I must say choosing paint colours is so hard - I don't envy you.

But I'm sure when you do find one it will look fab!

I love choosing paint colours, except for this one room(s) because I knew it would be hard. I have fun doing bedrooms

We have also painted our interior walls with Tea and we have a very bright blue kitchen (what were the previous owners thinking, a blue kitchen with bright yellow walls?)!!

Tea does go with everything, its a very common colour for that very reason!

Good luck with your decision, its so hard to pick!

I was going to say tea too We have half tea in our lounge and it is such a nice, neutral colour which I think goes with everything
