Lately i have been having there really severe attacks of what feels like wind trapped under my ribs, the pain is like a band around my shoulder blades, and it gets so bad that i end up throwing up.

I have done some research and it all points towards gallstones, and as the attacks are getting more frequent and lasting between 1-5 hours i am starting to get worried. .

I have already spoken to one doctor who has said they can do nothing while im pregnant, but man i can not keep going through this, i am so worried its affecting my baby.

I see the midwife on friday and i have made notes of all the attacks (she has been away for the past month), what i am wondering is if anyone else has gone through this and if so what they did to help ease the pain.

im sure someone on here has had problem with gallstones.

You really just have to watch your intake of fatty foods or keep a food diary and see if the attack is always after a certain food. (thats if it is gallstones).

IMO i would go to see another doctor because it sounds like its a real concern for you and that you have just been fobbed off. There are checks and blood tests that can be done.

sounds like what i went though with my gallstones. ow!
it gets pretty nasty. i have heard that gallstones are common in pregnant women, i had mine when i was 18 fit and healthy (without greasy food diet! dont know how!) and it still flares up every now and then. i sympathise with you.
like angelnz said just keep an eye on fatty foods and i would also do the diary thing to see if certain foods bring on an attack.
take it easy.... and talk to another doc if you have any worries.

yeah it just seems to come from no where, i am making another appointment to see a doctor on tuesday, as after talking to the midwife she confirmed that it wasnt baby and that it sounded like either gallstones or a bowel adhesion, neither of which i want.
