What about just a simple layered bob with maybe some layering around the face?. Thats I get my hair done everytime as you can just wash and let air dry and it looks good.

*watching thread intensely*

Same problem here *raises hand*
Plus with my hair short, I wake up with what DP calls a "ducks a$$" on the back of my head where I've been laying.

I would post pics but probably don't have any of this hair cut hehe.

Mine is layered with a fringe and parted to the side, reasonably low maintenance. Even more so when it's straightened because all I have to do is brush it and go. When curly I tend to just tie it up at the base of my neck in a semi loose bun so the ringlets are flying everywhere if it's looking ok its ok, if its not knotty its even better!

Hairdresser told me to put just conditioner in my hair when I have it curly and let it airdry preferrably

I love this site!
You upload a photo of your face and then choose from heaps of different styles and it superimposes your face on that hair.

It's a good time waster, if nothing else

How us the end result once you get it done

I also say that you need a good hairdresser who you trust. Mine just happens to be a friend but is still expensive  I don't do much else for myself so I get a nice haircut. I always look after my hair I dont wear makeup but feel done if my hair is controlled hehe.

I walk into a hairdresser and say cut it do what you want and trust their judgement. This time she took it shorter and instead of blowdrying then straitening it she left it curly. Like I said I trust her to know what she's doing and I wouldn't be paying her the money if she did a crap job. I did used to be really sensitive about how short my hair was, etc but now I don't care its hair it grows back!
