Topic: High hcg and prog at 4 wks pg Posted: 08 March 2011 at 8:50am |
Ok, against the very good advice I was given by the OhBaby babes I went and got blood tests to get some idea about how my pregnancy is going.
Get this -
at 14 dpo my hcg is 375 and my progesterone is 102.
Of course doctor google mentions that this may indicate multiple pregnancy, downs syndrome or molar pregnancy.
Anyone had results like this? What happened?

Mine were just over 400 at 4+3days pregnant. Cant remember how many DPO i was though. Ive got one healthy little baby in there
HCG are silly things can make you stress for one reason or another. Are you getting more done in a few days?
ETA: i just worked out i was 15DPO at the time. I found out i was pregnant before 4 weeks.

With DD, mine were 600something at 15dpo and 1300something at 17dpo and she is definitely not twins etc those are awesome numbers!!! I don't know about prog though as I never got that tested.
Hope you're only gonna get one more BT though up to you of course!

That's a good progesterone result!!! At 14DPO my HCG was 92 and progesterone was 20ish (I started supplements) and I definitely have twins

I think it is the HCG rise that indictates twins, not the measure itself. So you can have a high HCG to start, that tracks on a normal curve, which generally means one child. Or you can have a high HCG which increases more than it should, which can indicate twins.
I think everyone is different and there is no answer to the twin question until you have a scan.
