So just before putting jake down last night (7.30pm) I noticed he was quite warm.. temp... 38.6! Came down slowly after Pamol.
3.30am he woke and temp was back (38.5) but Pamol didnt cut it so gave him nurofen aswell.. and again it came down slowly..

11.30am temp back but not so high (37.8) came down with Pamol, but again slowly.

He doesnt seem to have any other symptoms, other being a bit sleepy.... His food and drink consumption is a bit down he IS still eating and drinking and weeing.. poos a little soft but not diarrhea and no vomiting. No cough, a teeny tiny sniffle.

I am tossing up whether I should take him to the after hours or wait until tomorrow and see our Dr....

 What would you do?

(He isnt too bothered by it all, gets a bit whingey when the temp is high but who wouldnt....)

Caden had a temp of 38.4 Friday and Saturday, Pamol brought it down so I just kept an eye on him.
I did take him to the Dr's on friday though as he's been coughing a I suspected croup, which it is :( His temp was 37. something at the Dr's.

Caden started off like Jake, quite sleepy and quiet, then the cough started, and the other night he was HOT, I didnt check his temp but gave him pamol and he cooled down.

Seems everyone's sick at the moment. DS has had temps of around 37.5 - 38.5 since Thursday. (no other symptoms other than grumpy) I did take him to the AH Dr on Friday when his temp got up past 39.5, and was told nurophen & pamol.

I would hold off, see what his next temp is, and if it's still high then take him to the doctors.

The saying I was told (can't remember where now) was '40 or more out the door'.

My daughter has just had tonsilitis... VERY high temperature. Limited sleep, food, and bottles.

Sounds like your doing all the right things Mel, but I would advise if the temp hits 39 take him in sooner, especially if the temperature rise is rapid or any other symptoms arise and keep up his fluids if you can

No temp overnight and nothing today, just very cranky.. guess it wasnt tonsilitis after all! He does have a bit of an upset tummy today so maybe it was just a wee bug running its course.
Nice to see him smiling today!
