During that time I received a huge amount of conflicting advice about what to do from just about every staff member on duty during that time. In retrospect, perhaps we would have been better off at home supported by just one or two people who could provide consistent advice? Like Bellasmum, I sometimes ponder the "what ifs?" |
This is exactly the different I found in care and support between my DD1's hospital birth, and DD2's homebirth - I have a fantastic friend who is a mum of 3 and a LLL leader who was a key support, and my mw just rocked really. My DD1 I only breastfed for 6 weeks and then it was all over rover, DD2 is fully breastfed at six months and going strong!
