If you get the full subsidy then it gives you up to $3.63 per child per hour for a max of 50 hours. There are three subsidy levels, with three pay thresholds, you get it through winz if you can get it.
Kingston goes two days a week to a private preschool & we pay $63 a day with all meals included but we have to provide nappies. ($126 a week). He goes from 8am to 5.30pm. When he turns 3 it drops to $35 a day. I cannot wait for that to happen!
Not sure if we get a discount for the next baby-probably not. So next baby will be $73 a day (in the under two's group) but she won't start till she's 1 (personal choice-I want her home with me full time till she's one, which is what we did with Kingston)
full time dc we pay $230 a week which drops to $170 week when she is three (ECE hours)....hot cooked meal, snacks, fruit etc all included. She goes between 7 30am and 5 30pm 5 days
our daycare is $5 per hour but its worked out that we pay no money. not sure how they have worked it but he gets 20 free hours for a study program thing and hes on a child diability so 50 subbed hours.
Food is included at their daycare too. Astin goes 9-5 everyday and Karma goes 9-12 mondays and wednesdays.
We are charged $114 for 4 half days per week at a Kidicorp facility. Because we qualify for the largest subsidy rate, our payment portion of that cost is just over $40 per week. This cost includes everything including food. Its not worth taking the 20ece hrs option over the full rate with winz subsidy when C turns 3 as what they ask in costs for food and outings will be more than we pay now, so we will just continue as is.
