Just curious.

I'm in the process of weaning DS and now that he is formula fed, I know how much he is drinking: approx 4 bottles of 200ml formula and a breastfeed in morning.

He isn't really interested in solids, it's a real battle. That's another post on its own.

I just went to a Plunket Solids II session and the karitane nurse thinks he drinks too much milk and that is the reason why he's not into solids. (Incidentally, the session was one big Watties infomercial.)

At 8months Leah was still having 4x 200mls bottles and then the last 2-3 weeks she has cut herself down to 4x 150ml bottles and eats alot more she has 3x meals and 1 or 2 snacks aday LOL so i wouldnt worry to much, as long as he is still having some solids........

Callum is 7 months this week so a bit younger but he is still having 3x 210ml bottles and 240ml before bed. Some feeds he doesn't drink as much as he did before he started solids, but mostly he still drinks loads. I think at 8 months you don't really need to worry and over the next couple of months he will probably start to cut down on his own....

Funny you should say that about the Plunket food info, I've been hearing that a lot recently!!!

Hi my bubs is 8.5 months and we are still doing bottles 1st. SHe is offered solids after and sometimes isn't interested.

Breakfast - Bottle, solids (including toast) 7.30
Mid morning bottle (11am ish), solids
Afternoon bottle (no solids) - 3.30
Dinner - 5.30 - 6.00
Night bottle - 7.30ish

Its really hard I'm scared to drop the bottle as I feel she isn't where she needs to be with solids - but this could be cause she is full after the bottle!

On days when I am home with DD she probably has about 1000 mls in total and she is nearly 10 months old and still not very interested in solids (she now eats the pruees 6-7 month jars though, but only about half a jar at most)

I have given up worrying about her lack of eating, as she is putting on weight, and my mum told me that i was never interested in solid food till i had turned 1.
