Ahhh, I am chuckling away to myself at the moment.

I always swore I would give my baby a healthy, balanced diet. No sweets and rubbish food. He would eat in his chair, but not in the car seat or around the house. If he was a fusspot he'd get down from the chair and that would be that.

Oh how different I am now!

Jackson has had formula, and 3 pottles of yoghurt today. He's currently sitting on the floor chowing back 'munchos' chippies.

At the moment, I am just so elated he is eating, that I think I'll worry about these bad habits later on. It's not likes he's suddenly gonna gain 4kg and be overweight any time soon!!

Jackson gets so bored in his buggy so we always give him a rice cracker or cruskit to chew on. Well, I forgot the crackers and resorted to McDonald's fries (he ate all of about 6) and figured a bit of fat would do him good. I was so surprised by the number of dirty looks I got!! I have to laugh.... if only people knew.....

Wooohoo, go Jackson!

I remember giving DAniel some lick of my McD's icecream when he was about 6 months (and demanding my food) - got some interesting looks!

lol Laurie - doesn't sound as Jackson will be refusing his birthday cake next year . He might even give Christmas pud a go next month .

Hey I was wondering, if you have a few spare moments one day - would you mind writing down some of the tips you've learnt for dealing with fussy eaters and posting it on the "Infant/toddler feeding" board?  I for one would find that really helpful - no doubt other Mums would too .  But only if you have the time, no worries otherwise.

Oh, and great to hear you guys are thinking about TTC again - yay! .

Thanks guys!!

Kakapo, I will definately do that for you. I learnt some interesting things at the hospital - mostly around sensory issues, but who knows who that might help? I'll try to get onto it in the weekend.

PFFFT to judgemental know-it-alls and their 'looks'!!! Yay for Jackson being brave and trying new things *thumbs up*

I had one of those moments too when we were going around the supermarket and Hayden lost the plot so I tore open a bag of baby cookies that I hadnt (obviously) paid for - I always said I'd never do that but it was better than the hissy fit!!!

I give Hayden a few fries when we go out, which is sometimes once a month sometimes a bit longer, I cant see how that can possibly do any damage its not like its daily????????????? I think its all about balance, you dont want your kid to be a binge eater with 'treats' cos they are taboo.

I'm with Nikki - at least he is eating!!  I think in his case, it's acceptable.  So go the yoghurts, french fries (yum!) and muncho chippies!

Go Jackson!

I had an old biddy giving me the evils today as the girls were munching on chips. And then Eimear fell off the chair while I was on the phone to DH!
