Help needed desperatly.

Kylah wont stop screaming when we put her to bed. I took her to the doctor last week to get her ears rechecked they said they are fine, yet everytime i put her to bed she creams and screams, and she wont stop untill you pick her up. Shes pulling her ears still.

Iv given her pamol, she doesnt have a temp, she just wont stop screaming.

Im stressing out so bad i just want to cry.

What can i do?

Put phone books underneath her mattress so her head is higher than her feet.

Sorry to hear your having a hard time. Maybe you could ring healthline and see what they suggest and whether you should take her to a 24hr doctor.

Otherwise, you could give her a bath and something to drink just to calm her and then maybe the pamol will kick in. Poor Kylah

Could she be having separation anxiety? Do you need to put her into her bed asleep? Or is she teething? I think that Jack tugs on his ear sometimes when he is teething.

It cant be seperation anxiety because she done it last night too, she cried for hours beside us in bed and finally fell asleep about 2am only to wake at 5.30am and whinge and cry all day. The doc said her ears are fine i dont know what else it could be..

Personally I wouldn't let her cry herself to sleep, but thats just my opinion.

I would probably just cuddle her and rock her in her bedroom with the lights off.

Do you think it could be her teeth?

Sorry I aren't much help, but I just had to contend with Lauren the same tonight and I actually gave her a bottle of 100mls, gave her a big cuddle and brushed her head/face while she settled down and drifted off to sleep. Can you try that?

you could try just sitting beside her cot until she falls asleep. I know when Ella is teething she can get quite upset at bedtime and when she does, I normally just sit beside her and she calms down and falls asleep.

okay, the "sensible" thing to do is to let her cry it out, but in all honesty I would try to get her to sleep anyway I could and if that meant lying down with he3r, so be it.

Maybe her ear infection has come back? It is supposed to hurt more when lying down.
Good luck with the rocking her to sleep, I hope she settles for you.

With josh i use a dummy it sometimes takes a bit of just holding it in his mouth and ssshhhhing in his ear quite loudly before he will suck it but he eventually drifts off.  If he is really bad i hold him on his side tightly against me rocking him so his mouth (with dummy in it is against my arm so he cant spit it out and he calms down sucking his dummy and drifts off really quickly just got to be very quiet and gentle putting him down.

Daniel did this the other night (thankfully we worked out what it is now). What I ended up doing was getting him on my chest inside my dressing gown (which he loooves) and sitting in a rocking chair for about 10 mins holding his head against me telling him its ok and to relax his head. Then lay down in bed with him still on my tummy and he eventually drifted off and I was able to take him off me and pop him down in our bed next to me.

I didn't like the type of cry so refused to let him cry it out.

I think you should take her back to the doctors, something doesn't sit right with me. There must be fluid in her ears. She may need ear drops.
