Topic: I just ordered......... Posted: 22 January 2010 at 2:35pm |
some Pop-In™ Dream Dri Nappy's from Tweedle. 2 of them with the night boosters. Joel is a heavy wetter so i'm hoping these work well. Has anyone tried them????

They are expensive I know but I have bought most of my naps second hand and I figure he will be in them at night for another 2-3 years.
We have been using ecobubs wool covers, but J has slimmed down a lot lately and no matter what I stuff the pockets with there is always gaping and within 1/2 an hour he is leaking out the sides. He wakes in the morning dry though so i'm guessing its just cos he is moving around in his bed and things a gaping and he normally does a big wee once he has his bedtime bottle. Also they are doing up on the tightest snaps which is really too tight but the legs still gape.
I'm hoping the new ones will have no gaping due to the velcro.....but who knows!!

Got them yesterday, did one wash and they dries in the sun. Made them up and Joel wore one last night. LOVE THESE NAPPIES!!!!!!!!!!
I am soooo impressed, I love these nappies, they are so lovely and soft. He wore it from 6pm last night till 7.30am, no gaping no leaks at all, and when I took it off he had done an all mighty squishy poo, and nothing, couldn't even smell it till I opened the nap up. No where near as bulky as what we had been using and left no red marks on his legs. So quick and easy to put on.
Am so glad I bought a couple of these, they are great.

That is really great to know because daniels Eco bubs do the same gaping round the legs thing too. When you say Joel is a heavy wetter how heavy do you mean. Daniel will pee through ten tick layers or bamboo and a microfleece thing too. He is a BIG wetter and I'm just concerned the nappy wouldn't work as well for us??

In J's ecobubs wool pocket I was putting a 3 layer mf insert, a flat bamboo/mf one you fold in 3, at least 4 layers of bamboo or hemp and a old flat nappy I had cut and folded like a prefold.
He would always have both legs inside and out wet before he went to sleep from the gaping and I think he held on and did a really big wee after his bottle.
In the morning the tummy would be wet or at least damp about 90% of the time, if not down his legs as well.......and if he pooed.....well you can imagine!!!!!!!!
They worked well for a while but then his legs thinned out but his tummy didn't and even on the tightest snap we would still get leaks. The tightest smap would leave red marks on his tummy but if I did the snaps up on the second one it was way worse.

Forgot to add that there is room to add a bamboo booster if you think you would need it under the layers, it wouldn't come out and as you already have the inserts it could be an option.

Wow they look good! I have to use disposables at night because no cloth nap yet has worked for Campbell overnight. Wish I had the money to try one out...
