Go walking & I am not having you on. I walk 12-15+km a weekday & now can not sit down for too long at home. So I am right into house work & have the energy to cope with 3 kids...think its a wonder drug lol..

hee hee I am trying to get DH to go for a walk at lunch time to distress & get out of the office
I have not drunk coffee since I fell pg with DS1 he is 10 now
Maybe try increasing water & a walk around the block after b'fast with baby (if at home) & maybe you need a supplement..
I had no energy & found I have to force myself to do the daily stuff & then I decided not to use my car & walk everywhere so I don't have much time at home after school/kindy drop off so I clean house, make beds hang washing, get dinner ready, do kindy pick up get home & then do school pick up if DH can not. I go to bed early now about 9-9.30pm before it was 11.30+pm & get I get up at 6am which is before the kids so I am organised when they are up & the day starts great.
Fresh air nothing bets it & its free, about the only thing that is

Eating better? just more veges & fruit in your diet. Or maybe red meat
I agree with walking though. A good walk always makes me feel better and gives me more energy for the day.
I love walking this time of year best. Summer its just too hot. If you bundle your DD into the buggy does she like walking? my DD loves it, we always look out for dogs or nice flowers etc. So its a fun trip out for her too.

haha im terrible... i also am normally tired and feel like im close to a cold coming, and already on iron pills..
my quick fix (as in still have half a day of work to go, then the evening etc) is an energy drink LOL, V normally. And chocolate.
My, if i have time - is regular exercise, going to bed earlier, eating better, drinking lots of water...
BUT.. the reality is, sometimes that good stuff doesnt happen.
Anyone remember NoDoze?

I would be taking vitamin B or get some Berocca (full of sugar though), but Blackmores executive B stress formula is good or spirulina tablets are great too.
Fresh air and a diet full of fresh fruit and veg helps a lot too, I totally agree with the going for a walk thing too and it helps you to sleep better.

Healtheries Boost is like berocca but I think its sugar free. A good multi may help. Or sugar free red bull does the trick (I havent drunk it since having kids but used to love the stuff!!)
If dd is still waking at 10.5mths perhaps thats why you're tired -- maybe some sleep training would help?? Geez, I'd be tired if I had 10 months of night waking too!

You say you are taking iron.... Have you had your iron checked??? Cos the symptoms of having too much iron can be the same as not enough iron
I only ask cos I know a LOT of people think taking iron will be a fix all when sometimes the problem is too much iron and taking stuff obviously doesn't help!!!

I'm with Moocow, just double check your iron is low.
If you have enough energy to get up before kids in the morning maybe even just 10 mins exercise. Use to work for me.
Perhaps try beroca.
Also if you are feeling very very low in energy and tired and no real explanation, couldn't hurt to see your gp and take note of any other unusual things.

Moocow- I had it checked ages ago, but I think I will get it redone to see what it is.
Thanks everyone else for the ideas, we went for a small walk yesterday to see the horses and cows- DD loved it!

This is so what I need to do! Im not tired ALL the time, but I do feel blahh and just cant get motivated much but when I do heaps round the house and am organized I feel MILES better. Im also bad for going to bed late, I sit up and knit for ages and my eyes are hanging out my head, last night it was 1am oops!
Ways to know your low in iron is feeling tired, dry skin, breathlessness, and also when you pull your bottom lid down its often pale and not all pinky like it should be. I had all of that when I was veyr low in iron! But before taking too many iron supplements get it checked. I take Iron Chews, just enough to keep it at a good level and I also take Vit B stuff, its awesome and doesnt have all the sugar berrocca has.
