Topic: implantation bleeding... Posted: 13 February 2009 at 4:01pm |
ok, so we started trying recently (beginning of january). i was on the depo and my last shot was in august so it's been 6 months. first af came 20th january but it was quite light. i went to the doctors the other day and she said everything is back to normal. my ovulation microscope said i ovulated last saturday, and yesterday (day 23) (tmi) i had spotting, and now a light clear brownish discharge. does this sound like implantation bleeding? other thing to note is i started on vitex 10 days ago. i have had cramping all week.

Hmm, possibly, I wouldn't get my hopes up yet but you might want to take good care of yourself for the next week or so just in case.

I had implantation bleeding with this pg but it was at 11 - 15DPO so kinda around when AF would have been due. What your getting could be implantation spotting but I didnt think it happened that early. Good luck

Implantation bleeding is suppossed to occur 7-10 days after ov according to some websites that I've read. Remember that everybody's body works a little differently to others. I had that a few months ago and I got my hopes up and it wasnt implantation So if I've got your dates right.. the bleed would have happened 6 days after ov? It could be implantation- my fingers are crossed for you that it works in your favour Take care of yourself incase it is implantation (and if it isnt) If it isnt remember that Ov so soon after going off depo is great news!

Implantation bleeding is when you have a a bit of spotting or what seems like a light period, but is actually caused by the egg digging its way into the uterine wall. (also know as implanting)

thanks everyone. i feel like crap at the moment. still cramping, and still some brown watery discharge spotting. never had it before, it would be ok if i knew if i was pregnant or not but yesterdays test was negative. i'll test again next weekend. mum said she conceived every time just by looking at dad, in face her first one she didn't even BD! so hopefully i'm as fertile as her

thanks loulee, and good luck to you.
i googled the brown watery discharge (tmi again) and it seems to be associated with implantation so hopefully it is. i haven't told DP yet, he's not into gross things for a start, and i don't want to get his hopes up either as we've only just started trying and he gets down easily. i think the timing sounds about right, it would be about 6 days after ovulation

well today, the discharge has stopped, i have had constipation most of the weekend (not full on but haven't been since saturday) not sure if thats caused by the elevit tablets though? cramps have gone, but after BD'ing last night there was a little bit of spotting on the toilet paper. it's all very gross if it's not pregnancy.

hehe i know i've spent far too much money on tests. I managed to get two free from the doctor last week so i'm holding on to my last one and will test later this week, the weekend if i can wait that long. it sounds like we won't get the BFP until a few days/weeks after AF is due anyway even if it is implantation bleeding. i convinced myself i wasn't pregnant when the cramps stopped, so hopefully i get another symptom this week so i can justify a test. the only thing i'm worried about now is i started taking vitex two weeks ago and i think i'm wondering if i should stop taking them just in case?

no news yet. i'm on day 30 (but i don't know how long my cycles would be anyway!) I'm taking elevit and vitex every day, and am getting some gross side effects from the elevit. I would probably move back to the Blackmores except I now have 3 months worth of Elevit. I bought some Menevit for DP this morning to make sure everythings working in that department I tested on Monday night and got a BFN so I'll test again next week if nothing shows.
how about you loulee? any news?

yeah i asked the doctor and she told me it was no cheaper than going to the chemist for folic acid?
Did a test late on Monday night and it was negative (i couldn't wait until the morning!) and now I'm out of tests again so I'll relax for a couple of days and see what happens.
I'm thinking what I had last week was the depo coming out of my system maybe?

Hi Lizzie
Just thought I'd share - I'm on Day 30 also today - my last cycle was 23 days (came off BCP in late Dec) so I'm totally unsure what my cycle is up to!
Have had cramps on and off for about the last 7-10 days, headaches, just feeling a bit off. Thought I had pre-AF cramps last night but nothing has arrived.
I tested on Saturday (Discover test) and got a BFN. Was going to wait till this coming Sat if no AF arrives and test again but am soooo tempted to test again tonight.
Very frustrating!!!

good luck to you! that sounds positive..
I just got my blood test results back from Day 23, and my progesterone was only 1.0, so they think I probably didn't ovulate. Looks like my body needs a kick in the right direction..
If the vitex doesn't start helping I might go see someone about it.
