My husband has a very low Sperm Counts and the quality of the sperm is very bad. We had one ICSI with FA last year but failed.

Hi there,
I can't say I've heard of acupuncture helping low sperm count, but have you thought about trying Vitamenz or Menavit? People have good results in numbers and quality of these products as it provides a good environment for them to develop with all the good nutrients. You could always ask about acupuncture anyway.
Good luck :)

Hey there, I'm doing acupuncture now for IVF and the lady told me it can help with low speed count and motility so could be worth a go!

Hi Beaker
Thanks for your reply. We have tried the menevit but not sure what what vitamens is. It seems it doesn't help too much so seeking for other ways.

The sperm cycle takes 90 days for sperm to fully mature, so results are generally seen after a period of time, like 6 months plus I think, so keeping up with them is a must. I have seen ladies here have improvements after a year. That and acupuncture together could be quite beneficial, but I don't think it would be a quick fix.
I think Vitamenz is pretty much the same as Menevit. My DH takes Vitamenz. They're around the same price so I think it is personal preference.
I have acupuncture for fertility and for a couple other health issues I have, and I've found it very beneficial for my well being and general health.
I hope that helps :)

Hi Elsa,
I'm afraid the best evidence available doesn't imply that acupuncture can improve the outcomes of IVF. I don't have access to the full paper, but here's a link to a systematic review and meta-analysis of trials testing acupuncture in this context: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22540969
Best of luck to you and your husband :)
