I am sooo paranoid about 'safe' foods that I am hardly eating anything lol, but my grandmother is making trifle today for Xmas lunch tomorrow and I would soooo love to be able to eat it.

So what do you ladies think? Is it safe? It has cream and custard, the custard made fresh today and the cream opened out of a fresh bottle. But it will be sitting in the fridge overnight...

I am the same Emma ver paranoid about the safe food was really hoping I would not be Preggy this christmas oh well. I guess go with your gut if you don't feel comfortable eating it then dont, but I personally think it will be fine if is is kept in hte fridge over night and all that stuff.

yeah - not like my little sister - who today ate smoked chicken, seafood salad, spathered everything with mayonaise etc, ate barbeque stuff that even i didn't touch cos i didn't think it was safe... every thing that you would not touch.. she ate. lol. a little bit of triffle shouldn't hurt - i hope you enjoyed some Emma

Well I chickened out and didn't touch it! And was glad that bubs made me a little nauseous so I wasn't tempted to pick at the king prawns and mussels that Maya was downing by the dozen! Was very safe and ate baked Ham (piping hot), vegetables, and Xmas Pud with freshly made custard that I made myself and was also piping hot.

Oh the joys of pregnancy!

The funny thing is Janine that your little sis will probably eat anything and everything and never get listeria, and then I'll eat one silly thing and get sick! Murphys Law!

Just noticing your due date - you'll have to go 2 weeks or so early again - and have it on Paris's birthday

I had so much trouble last night with our Christmas dinner, they had shrimp with seafood sauce and besides prawns those are a big favorite with me *sniffle* Although I wasn't all that hungry, I wish I could have had some. Ended up eating a bit of chicken, coleslaw, and rice casserole with bread & marge. Dessert was the best - rhubarb & strawberry pie !

OOOh, we had roast chicken, baby peas, new potatoes, ham, and nana went a little overboard with the desserts - pav, trifle, meringue, brandy snaps, strawberry pudding - there were five of us couting Jake.

Don't Lizzle, you'll make me hungry again! I want to keep my weight down this pregnancy!

Janine - would love to go 2 weeks early, especially if this bubble is as big as his or her big sister. But I have a feeling that this baby will go late for some reason
