I've got a strange query and want to know if it's normal (don't want to ask my plunket nurse incase I sound like a weirdo)...

I've been noticing lately that Brenna has 'boobs'. My hairdresser (who has 2 kiddies) reakons it's from breast feeding. I've never heard this before?! Brenna's not a chubby baby, just average. Has anyone else noticed this on their bubs?

Hope I don't sound like a nutter for asking...

Hmmmm...I noticed on Isla about a month or so ago (so about Brenna's age now) that she had definite 'peaks' on her chest, and I didn't know whether it was something I should be concerned about.
In the end I figured that the plunket nurse sees her naked at each visit to be weighed and checks her over, and she hadn't said anything, so I decided not to worry about it. They aren't as noticable anymore but I don't know if that's because I'm just not seeing them? Now I'm wondering again!
Might ask the nurse at her 10 month immunisation.

I know Sam is alot younger, but at our last plunket visit the nurse checked her little boobies to see if she had lumps under them, and said that she does (I can see definite little bumbs) and that it is hormonal and quite normal. Will be interested to see what your plunket nurse says as it will let me know if she will keep them.

Ella had them too.
Our plunket nurse said it was caused by hormones passed from me to her and that they usually go away between 6 months and a year of age, and they did

Anna, thanks for posting this - I had been wondering quietly about this (one of my many mummy-worries!) and it's a relief to hear it's a normal thing.
