    Posted: 01 December 2008 at 2:22pm

I have just reached the final month of pregnancy (Thank god!) but just in the last few weeks I've noticed my stomach getting a lot more stretch marks then what I had in my previous pregnancy and I now have an outie which I never had last time either so I'm assuming this baby is going to be a bit bigger than last!

The only problem this is causing is that my stomach is stretched so much I have been getting really itchy around the area of my stretch marks. I've tried using cocoa butter soothing oil but it only lasts for about as long as I'm rubbing it in and last night I woke up in the middle of the night to discover I was scratching my stomach raw! Has anyone else been having this problem and is there anything else I can use to stop the itching? My poor stretch marks can't handle it much longer!

I had a bad itching problem with my 1st pregnancy and discovered that it was the cocoa butter that was doing it... so see what happens when you put no lotion on (except maybe some calamine lotion) - it helped for me... So now I have stretch marks, cos I couldn't do anyhting to stop them... better than crazy itching!

Calamine lotion of course! I think I'll give it a try

I'd rather have the stretch marks over the itching any day lol

I had an outie belly button with my girl , and she wasnt huge, 7 pounds 14, so an outie doesnt necessarily mean a bigger baby

My first girl was 7pounds 10 which was just the right size for me

Here's hoping the next one is around the same size it was such an easy birth!

By the way the calamine works like a charm!

Where do you get Calamine lotion? A pharmacy? I have crazy itching where my stretch marks are too, especially on my boobs and tummy
