Hi loulou, I think our embies all had fragmentation too, but under 10% is considered ok. Fantastic that they are both looking perfect today, our embryologist said he'll look at them again in the afternoon of day 2 to see if any were developing faster than the others, so even later in the day one can be ahead of others, and the next morning they can again all be at a similar development stage....so they will put one in that developed 'earlier' if that makes sense?
Do you know if they will freeze one on day 3 or will wait until day 5?
Yay for ET tomorrow, make sure you remember to listen to your CB podcast beforehand and straight after too. Is your acupuncturist coming in with you to do a session before the ET?
Wow, interesting what happens to the other follicles too....I haven't thought of it, but the book does say that if you have sex after the EC they recommend to use a condom to prevent a natural conception to avoid the multiples.... Weird isn't it that natural conception is all we all wanted in the first place!! I guess it's very unlikely to happen...but could?

Hi Ladies
Wow it has been a hive of activity in here over the past few days
tischler - Yay! Cycle buddies sounds good to me I too am doing the "long cycle". Does yours involve talk to BCP before hand? For some reason I don't have to take it?? (am thinking the reason for not having to take it is because of my PCOS my body doesn't ovulate on it's own so there is extremely little risk of pregnancy before starting the cycle???). I just ring with my day one & then wait 3 weeks to start injections.
ScaredyCat - That is awesome you got bumped up the list! All the best with your upcoming cycle!
LisaLooo - Great to hear you are underway again! All the best for this cycle!! How is puppy pre-school going?
4x4mudgirl - Good luck for your scan tomorrow. Hope those follicles are growing nicely for you :)
trouble06 - Awesome going on the weight loss! :)
louloubell - I had a wee laugh at your story about trying to escape after EC... things we do under the influence aye! Hope you are feeling a bit better now! Your embies sound like they are doing good! Good luck for your ET!
Peppy & SunshineWife - how is the 2WW going for you both? Hope you are finding things to keep you sane :)
Tiff8ny - Good luck for your blood test on Monday, hope you get a clear cut result this time. I know it sucks having to wait for your next cycle to come up... I have had to wait another full year until F+ would do my second publicly funded cycle. I would have to say though, I feel the wait has help me get in a better head space this time around. It's such an ordeal isn't it!
Rooella - How did your appointment go today? You all set with your plan of action?
marniehayden - Fingers crossed you can get underway with your FET cycle soon... bring on AF! lol. I agree, I would've been a bit annoyed if the clinic hadn't of told us what they were doing.
Elpis - Welcome to the forum! I hope you find the support you are looking for and hope your stay in here is a short one I myself have found the lovely ladies in here lifesavers & it is great having a place we can all relate to each other's stories, experiences and a have a vent if we need to etc.
MAC35 - Not long until you get underway with your FET! All the best for this cycle :)
rosiefarmer - Good luck for your scan tomorrow. Your DS sounds like such a sweetheart!
wispy_willow - Good luck for your scan on the 21st... how exciting! Glad to hear MS hasn't been too bad :)
Hi to anyone else I've missed - it sure is hard to keep track sometimes lol... I agree with Tischler about getting another list started lol.
Is anyone here with F+ in Auckland?
AFM... start taking provera in about 10 days, so day 1 should be in about 2 weeks & then it's all go :) Thanks to whoever it was that mentioned about the Cirle + Bloom website, I am going to get the IVF program :)
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend & sorry for the novel! lol

Hey Loulou, awesome news that your 2 embies are growing well! I'm not too sure about the fragmentation thing but I think our 2 had a small amount also. I don't think it's necessarily bad- I've heard people say that their 'perfect' looking embies didn't always work and the more fragmented ones have been the ones that got them their BFPs, I think you just never know what will happen with them so definitely don't let it worry you as they sound like they're doing great! Can't believe you have transfer tomorrow!Hope I won't be too far behind you then we can go crazy in our 2ww together.GOOD LUCK HUGS xoxo

Hey Loulou - mine had some minor fragmentation, but they still transferred one (which is growing well at the moment) and froze the other 2. I think it's mainly a concern if it's major fragmentation (as it's not dividing properly), and apparently most embryos will have at least a little fragmentation.
This website is hugely useful with answers to a lot of the questions people want to know the answers to, including different gradings, embryo development, fragmentation, thawing, success rates etc

Hope your scan goes well too. What time is yours??

Hi everyone hope you have all had a great weekend. The clinic rang today and we have one little frostie. I'm feeling good today . pretty relaxed about things, I think I may have had to higher expectations for this cycle at first but after reading through others experiences realise that I'm lucky to have that. Just trying to keep calm and positive. thinking of you all and hope what ever stage you are at you are looking after yourselves! 8 days to go before BT.....

Just got home from our big day travellin to Wellington for BT and scan.
Not as postive as I was yesterday with things.
Didnt have a good experience at the FA today found them alittle pushy and not helpful.
Got there had BT lady who did it was very quick and not gentle ended up hurting me and instant bruise came up, bleed quite abit.
Then went for scan and doctor wasnt the happiest one ive meet. was quite quick and rough too. One Friday i had scan in Palmerston which i was told i had 14 rangein from 9.5 to 15 and today the doctor said i have 11 follies from 9 - 15. when i mentioned that there look to be more on Friday he was quite rude and said "well that's all i see so that's all there must be" ?
got more puregon as they dont think i will be doing EC now till Thursday.
So my DH and I walked out alittle pissed and upset. Now thinking why its gone from 14 to 11 and why the same size (dont they grow 2mm per day)
Just got phone call from Nurse to say that would like them bigger and my estergon levels are 4755 so wont them higher.
Have to go back to Palmerston on Tuesday for another BT and scan

Wow we posted at the same time 4x4, sorry to hear your day wasnt very pleasant.
I got to hospital and had to phone bloodtest lady she then told us what ward to meet her in. Gee Dunedin hospital is a big one LOL. We were there early so had plenty of time. She was very chripy and lovely. DH and I had time for a walk before our scan, so we went and had a look at the new stadium.
Scanning lady was also very nice - unexpected really, considering she had to work on a sunday. I have got 10 follies 2 @ 20 2 @ 16 1 @ 17 1 @ 14 1 @ 12 1 @ 11 2 @ 9, DH and I are very happy with the out come.
I was hoping to have EC on Tuesday but Dr wants to wait till Wed to get the smaller ones up there in size.
All good - relief milkers sorted. I learnt from out 1st round of IVF not to get your hopes up too much, and just go with the flow, certainly helping me with at the moment. Feeling much more calmer and at peace.

Great news Rosie!
Grrr 4x4 - they don't realise how their complacent attitudes aren't helpful at times like this do they. Some support and encouragement and maybe a little explanation is not a lot to ask. Hang in there, looks like they've still got some growing to do - and look at Rosie's sizes and collection isn't til Wednesday. It'll all work out for the best
Good luck for your collections this week you two!
How are you SunshineWife? Hope everthing's going okay!
Yay for a frostie Elpis Let's hope that'll be bubba #2 for you.
Hope transfer went smoothly LouLou and that you've got your feet in the air
AFM, AF still not here, though according to confirmed ov lines on Fertility Friend I'm only 7DPO. Scheduled BT tomorrow with Repromed, so will be interesting to see what they think. With a progesterone level of 5 on Tuesday (and if that was only 2DPO) then I think my progesterone level is waaaay to low naturally to keep a baby even if there was a chance - hope this helps them in their planning!
Take care Jo

Hi Ladies,
4x4 - That's not right is it? Poor you - some doctors don't have a bed side manner at all!! We've written a little diary of things we plan to speak to FA about in terms of our experience.... however, the last few days they have been brilliant.. VERY different to the beginning of this whole thing!
Rosie - sounds like you are all go go go!! Not long till EC!!
Elpis - awesome to have 1 frostie!!!!!! yayay!! Grow & stick little one !! Not long till BT!! How are you keeping busy?!
tischler - come on AF!! Where are you?
Jane - not long now for you either my dear!! Wowww!!
Sunshine - How are you getting on? Our nurse told us it was ok to have intercourse?! Weird!! Not sure if we will or not... I'm tired LOL
AFM - one perfect embie on board!!! 8 cell with a little fragmentation! My DH and I are calling it Beanie!! Gosh.. my bladder was sooo full I couldn't wait just for it to be over so I could go to the loo LOL but we saw it VERY clearly on the ultrasound screen being transferred... it was such a clear picture, even the DR & nurse were amazed!! A for Awesome!! Unforunately, Beanie's bro or sis is not doing so well :( it's 8 cell but going a bit wonky.... going to try and grow it till day 5 - hopefully it's a fighter like DH he was born premature!! I have a good feeling ladies.... please let it stick... powers to be!!!
I'm currently feasting on passionfruit, pineapple and walnuts - they don't all go well together.... I would recommend eating them all seperately!!
I hope all the other lovely ladies are doing well?

Hi ladies, great to hear everyone is progressing nicely, lots of BTs and scans and ECs to come next week, hope April is the lucky month for you all!
I'm not having such a great day today, my BT is tomorrow and I did a HPT today which came in -'ve, so I had a cry and then DH and I went for a drive to Shakespeare park, had a picnic and a beach walk, just moped really and were quiet for a while, had a few chats about what Ifs and what next...but are both feeling a bit lost at the moment.
I know there is still hope and will do bt tomorrow, but have started feeling a bit crampy like AF is on it's way, got a bit of a strange discharge, not sure it's blood, doesn't have much colour at all, more like the pessaries aren't soaking in anymore but are coming out? Who knows what it is.....
I had such a great positive day yesterday, can't believe it all changes in a second just like this....
Anyway, will let you know the final result tomorrow xo

Hi all.
Sunshine - aw hon take care of yourself chicky, you and DH sound like a fantastic couple, and fingers crossed it's just too early. I personally find it helps talking about the "what ifs" and plan Bs, so if the worst happens you have a path forward. xxx
Loulou - how wonderful you have your emby on board, sounds fantastic Sending good growing vibes to your emby :) :)
I agree that the time between EC and transfer is such an emotional rollercoaster - waiting to speak to the lab, your heart is just in your mouth!!
Tryin - great to hear not long to go for you till day 1 :) :)
4x4 and rosie, hope the tight feeling is not causing too much discomfort. Rosie that's wonderful news about yoru follies. 4x4 - grr at the rude clinic experience! Still sounds really positive for you though, 11 is great :)
Tiff - thinking of you and hoping you will get some kind of result tomorrow. Hugs - it's such a distressing time, and i toally understand that feeling of 'if it's not working i just want to move things forward', and you are still in limbo land. xxx
Elpis - fantastic news about your frostie. That's amazing. Here's hoping the one on board will stick and that can be a second child :)
Tischler - good luck for your BT tomorrow, hoping the docs can figure out what's what with your progesterone :)
AFM we had our review appointment yesterday. The condensed version is we are going to try one last cycle - microdose flare with a whopping 450 gonal F. DH will do TESA. I most probably have to have a lap first, and they also want me to take DHEA for 3 months. The doc said we are throwing EVRYTHING into this one as it's really our last hope. I appreciate her thoroughness :)
So me and DH are starting a health kick tomorrow! I can't imagine us getting to do the cycle until at least August and probably later, so we have plenty of time to go hard.
IVF #5 here we come - that's only one short of Celine Dion, haha! But I met a lady the other day who told me her daughter became pregnant after 9 cycles of IVF!! can you imagine. LOL.
Hi to everyone, it's getting really hard to keep up and i didn't go back to the other pages, but best wishes to everyone :)

Sunshine hun - sorry you got that result was it a real sensitive test? what brand was it?
Please try an hold onto hope for tomorrow....Stranger things have happened in this world and you may be just one of the lucky few who have late implantation or something? I know we all have to be realistic too so I think what you did today by talking to your DH is so so awesome :) I agree with what Rooella said, you both sound like such a lovely couple!! If you are ever around the Bay of Plenty let me know...
Whatever happens tomorrow this wont be the end.... remember the stories we read in the babies after IVF?
I wish I could jump thru the computer to give you a hug sending you lots of good and positive vibes for tomorrow chicky xo
Rooella - I think it's soooo awesome you are having another go!! Woo hoo!! Why are you having a lap for tho? Make sure they give you antibiotics first!!!

Sunshine am thinking of you, fingers crossed that the test was wrong some tests i heard are not sensitive enough to use, not sure which ones are best though?
Lou-Lou how exciting!!! I am back to work tomorrow so that should keep my mind busy for a while, fingers crossed for your 2nd embie!! The 2ww is excruciating!!
4x4 I'm sorry that you had such a bad experience. I got really frustrated with one of the nurses at Fertility Associates about a similar thing, she got defensive when I was really just trying to understand!! I wanted to hunt her out when I went to my next appt and shake her!! Everyone else has been great!
I don't envy you and Rosiefarmer I was really uncomfotable the last few days before my collection hardly wanted to move! Lucky it was the weekend and I could blob!
Roella you must be such a strong Lady fingers crossed for your next cycle.
