Feedback about the clinic and FS: FA were amazing to us, approachable, dependable, always responded to queries and very attentive and encouraging. Highly recommend. They made us feel extremely supported and comfortable.
Protocol you were on: IVF with 3 months of Lucrin (down regulation) injections to prevent endo from interfering with IVF.

Special diet/nutrition: Slowly put on extra weight during the years, lost 8 kg prior to last FET (lower carbs higher protein and fat diet, lots of exercise too)
Other treatments/ alternative therapies you have tried: I didn't try any, but was doing hot yoga intensively when we weren't doing IVF etc.

Fertility books, online resources etc you would recommend: TTC forum on Web md, and also read a surrogate's forum a bit (just googled it can't remember where ... those ladies hnow lots about IVF etc)

Result: Have since had 2 FET one last year and 1 this year. Got my BFP in feb :) We have 11 frosties left. I found the most recent FET was much easier, with my body finally feeling healed after the IVF and egg collection last year. I think the break from ttc and doing lots of exercise and losing weight helped with my result

Diagnosis (fertility problem):secondary infertility have DS 17yrs (naturally conceived), mild pcos and endo
Treatments you have had for the above: 1st op - lap an dye to check for problems, found a fibriod but left it, did a few rounds of clomid fibriod grew so got removed hystomecy (awful op)

Special diet/nutrition: Lost 24 kgs for 1st round, the 2nd round I lost 4 kgs and got heaps fitter, was riding bike about 50kms/week and walking 10 - 20kms.

Result: BFN July 2010 FET BFN Sept 2010 BFP 27th April - this was our last chance so hoping the next 8 weeks flys by with no problems.

Overall this cycle I have been way more relaxed/tryed not to get my hopes up too much but stayed positive. I also took 2 weeks off farm work (drove me insane as I dont like doing nothing but found heaps of stuff to do around house) after EC till end of 2ww.

Feedback about the clinic and FS: Highly recommend Andrew Murray. Clinic nurses a bit hit and miss with information and appt times, but overall pretty good.

FET - no embies survied the thaw, no transfer
IVF2 - BFN
IVF3 - BFP - early MC @6weeks

2 months later - natural BFP!!

Thanks so much Sunshine Wife, my partner and I are just so incredibly happy and we really do know how lucky we are, this baby will be so spoilt!

I still keep an eye on the IVF forum hoping for BFPs for all you ladies as I know how tough it can be. You are doing great arming yourself with knowledge as it really does help and the thing that kept me going the most was always having a plan in place after a failed attempt. Know that I will be thinking of you and will pop on every now and again to check your progress and cant wait for you to join us in the other thread.

Supplements: Elevit (although only started taking 4 weeks ago
Diet/nutrition: reduced alcohol and caffeine more careful about eating grains/reducing fat/sugar. Cut out coffee apart from occasional decaf. Toned up at gym and lost some weight.
Other treatments/ alternative therapies: Undertook acupuncture about 4 weeks ago

Fertility books, online resources etc you would recommend: Currently reading the Infertility Cure which is great and have downloaded a number onto my ipad through the Amazon Kindle E-Store. Will check at home tonight as there are a number of fab ones i don't think you can get in NZ.

Protocol you were on: IVF 1 (stopped before EC) Antagonist, IVF 2 (start FSH injections end of May) Microdose Flare with LH and then Colarado

Got pregnant naturally over the Christmas break (when the clinic was closed or ironically i would have been doing some sort of treatment cycle) but sadly this ended as a missed miscarriage. Desperately hoping i'll respond better to the change in protocol and that we'll all end up with our BFPs.

Had test on Friday. When I got the results they were inconclusive unfortunately so another test on Tuesday. I have had some symptoms. I had seriously considered going and buying a test kit but held off. From what I feel myself, the implant worked but then it hasn't progressed any, therefore the pregnancy hormone was detected in the blood test but not over 50 like it needs to be. Unfortunately I feel that Tuesday won't be any better news, and my husband and I will have to start IVF all over again. Those dreaded injections etc.
