If you want to continue with raspberry leaf tea, make it and have it cold with juice mixed in. It's the old way to make punch. I think the recipe was/is in the Edmonds cookbook.
My baby is really low, one-two weeks ago she was quite high and I was getting pretty uncomfy heartburn. Now she is very low, I can feel her head bulging my pelvis as well as my lower back, and definitely sitting like a truckie as well. Means I'm uncomfy sitting down but I'm too tired to stand as well. Lying down and sleeping works for me LOL. It doesn't really impact how soon baby will come but I'm sure my one won't be long now.

Blondy - would love to know more induction accupressure points if you have info on them! Thanks :)
I know that I am not due yet but I really dont want an induction which is what I will get if I dont pop ON THE DAY (pressure!) because I am now the dreaded 40. I was ten days over with Callum so any help I can give myself to assist wth geting labour underway before 30th is essential.
I got my EPO today. I may just use 2 eveyy night internally rather than one orraly and one internally. Seems more logical to me. I also bought more pineapple (not for sticking up there, just for eating!) and I also boight some god old castor oil. The castor oil didnt help last time but I only tried it once and gagged so this tme I wll be more hard arse wth it!
Fletch - I was so sure you had popped - hang in there. The stress when you go overdue and the barrage of calls from well meaning people with "Have you had it yet" is frustrating. oYu'll be there soon :) xxxx

BTW - caught up with friends and their two week old baby yesterday. They had a visitor at the time who had her 12yr old and 8yr old with her.
From this women I got nothing bt shock and horror that aftyer 20 years I would "go through all thos again" and that I must be mad and that she could never do that - it's crazy! Then when my freind asked if wlfie was still breech and I explained hat I was going to try a V birth anyway - well I got HER breech (undetected!) birth horror story which included being cut from 'hole to hole' and that it was the most painful thing she has experienced and that I was mad to attempt it and it was too much of a risk and I could 'suffocate my baby to death'.
Why do people do this? I would never say such awful things to some straner who has clearly made their own educated choices.

that is aweful.
dont do the castor oil minxy, it is not worth it........... it wont bring on labour unless you are ready, and if are you will have diarrhea and stomach cramps at the same time as the contractions, and if you arent ready you will just get the diarrhea and stomach cramps.

Hey thanks for the advice hun - I was reading up further on it via google before I read your post and you're right - a study shows that all who took it had severe nausea as well as the squirts! I'm going to put that little bottle at back of the pantry now! :)

Yeah,I wouldn't try the castor oil either, runny stomach and contractions? no thanks!
ahhh you guys are all at that "over it,would rather chew off my own leg than be pregnant any longer " stage, I remember that stage, its arse....but not long for you to go (tho I know it seems like it )
all your uncomfortableness I can sympathise with cos Im getting all that too, except im only 35 weeks, yay , still a while to go .
And LC, really don't see you going to the 19th chick, am sure it will be at least a week before that......how much time is your DH taking off when you have Kayla?

minxy i just was reading up on the castor oil too, doesnt sound too helpful... :(
also, what a cynical troll who said all that stuff to you - i cant believe why people would say that anyway especially to a stranger! what a grumpy mole, that makes me angry.
i think you are doin a great job & you have done this before, albeit a slightly different way hehe & your midwife & the docs will monitor you & guide you if needed :)
ahah & Kelly yes i am considering doing some leg-chewing haha!
any other useful labour induction tips? hehe

Minxy - what an awful thing to tell you! I know there are at least a couple people on here that have had successful breech deliveries (WRXnKids had a surprise footling breech delivery of her first - maybe try searching for some good stories on here?)
Accupressure points - if I just give you the name of them, you can google, and I think there will be images/videos that show them better than I could explain!
Spleen 6 - good for induction as well as changing baby's position!
Liver 3 - induction point and helpful for encouraging dilation during labour
Bladder 60 - inducing and strengthening labour
Gallbladder 21 - induction, third stage of labour, lactation, pain relief during labour
Large intestine 4 - induction, I think this is the one you've already been doing.
Let me know if you can't find explanations for any of them.... and I'll attempt to describe the points
Edit for spelling

Minxy - I think good on you for doing it again I don't understand why everyone feels the need to always tell the bad stories and not the good ones
Castor Oil does not sound like a nice option at all
Kelly - You don't have that much longer to go yourself Dh is taking 2wks off when she comes which will help lots. He goes back to work tomorrow and I'm a bit nervous about having to look after Quin all by myself
I just weighed myself and I've only put on 1kg in the last month, does anyone think I should be worried?? I'm just thinking this isnt' really normal considering this is when they are putting all there fat on!!
Oh and having 2 babies within a year is not good for your body I've worked out that I have about 40kg's to loose by next christmas!!

oh LC don't worry too much, have you been feeling ill lately? it will probably be the weather - and did you lose a bit of appetite when bubs was hangin out under your ribs? i feel like i can eat a bit more now bubs is making her way down...
in fact i just ate 3 pieces of beef schnitzel, heaps of mashed potatoes & gravy & 2 corn cobs! mmm & i made a lemon polenta cake this arvo (a la nigella lawson) so we are just gonna tuck into that for dessert! mmm
if you are worried have a chat to your midwife but id imagine that if your weight gain has been steady through out pregnancy then youll be fine :)

I guess I'm just used to pilling on the weight when I'm pregnant My ms has returned so I'm now taking 2 anti nausea tablets a day. I can't eat much though she seems to be taking up all the room.
Wow Livvie your desert sounds awesome, think of me while you are eating it

Limo - they say baby will put on about 250 gms a week now so 1 kg for baby is spot on for a month! :)
Blondy - awesome! Thanks for all those, I will start googling and learning them now!
Thanks Livvie - I could have kicked her as her subjective cmments were just so unhelpful.
Kelly - I'm not quite at the 'arm/leg chewing' stage yet but I sure do remebber it with Callum. But knowing they wont let me go past my due date has me nervous to get a head start!
Oh - another induction mehod is nipple stimulation. It aprenty is high on the list and stimulates the release of oxytocinin (sp?). But do I really have time to massage my nipples for an hour a day??? yawn.

Same here LC ,DH is taking 2 weeks off after Mila is born ....and he too goes back tomorrow, i'll miss him,its nice to have an adult convo !
LC,all I could find on the weight issue is that apparently in the last trimester you should put on 1lb a week...but I don't know what that is in regards to kgs etc.....maybe ask your MW at the next appointment and she may just recommend you get a scan to check growth etc

Exactly - or kept their mouths shut. It was just her being self indulgent and spitting out her un-asked for experiences because some people just love to talk...esp. about themselves.
OK - Lemon polenta cake for after lunch treat tomorrow at my place! Yum.
