Yeah, the last time we went I made sure I didn't have the aioli with my fries (which sux because for me that's THE best bit!) and after I'd finished I realised there was aioli on my burger which I'd totally forgotten about. Oh well, at least I tried to be careful, will know better next time
Have fun at your mw appt Jess

According to this which i just googled its not that the aioli isn't chilled Jess it that it has Raw Egg in it.
Raw is Risky
Raw or partially cooked eggs. You'll find raw eggs in homemade hollandaise sauce, Caesar salad dressing, mayonnaise, and aioli. Also watch out for homemade ice cream, meringues, tiramisu, and unbaked cookie dough or cake batter. Raw eggs sometimes carry salmonella, which can give you a severe case of food poisoning. If the infection reaches the baby, it can cause meningitis.

Hi all, well I hpe you all had good weekends.
Heard from my mw atlast on fri night. My hcgs were in the 150 000's & had risen by 2000 in 48 hrs. Of course I went into a blind panic thinking that this was waaaaay to little but she assured me that levels should be peaking & plateauing over the next couple of weeks. So I guess I MUST be pregnant. I really have to pinch myself sometimes as my mild ms has gone & I'm just exhausted. Oh also I'm a size 8 with big bb's & NOW my bb's are a horrendous size, really grotesque & out of proportion & I feel so awkward. Atleast someone is extra happy about it. Sigh! Other than this, does anyone else still feel like it's not happening!?
Gorgeous day in chch... just want to sleep!

Yay Jess. Glad you met Tracy and it went well.
Just lurking and have to say that my favourite food is Burger Fuel. When I was pregnant I asked about the Aioli as I was worried about it too, but they don't make it fresh, they get it in bulk and it is pasteurised so fine for you to eat while pregnant

Wow, that is pretty impressive Jess. No wonder she looked worried. Still probably a nice change from the ones that last days!!!
I thought that might make your day Jo.
Mmmmm Burger Fuel! I haven't had it since I was pregnant!
Harder to get out at night with a 6 month old who has a 6.30pm bedtime

Good luck with the house Sheza, I have my fingers crossed for you
I've got an appointment with the dentist today which I am so not looking forward to, especially as I'm feeling a little on the sick side - the thought of someone with their hands in my mouth just doesn't appeal! And I'm dead nervous too because I haven't been in *ahem* forteen years

sorry to be a pain.. just went to the dentist...do they know you are pregnant? as most like to put off dental work (except cleaning which doesn't matter) till the second trimester?
mine told me i could have normal fillings but most pregnant women choose not to and just did the work she had to (with special anestetic) with no xrays..

LOL
On another subject, Dh & I were talking lastnight about the nuchal scan at 11-13 wks. Basically, I don't want to know the outcome of it as I think it will just cause us (possibly) un-necessary worry but it is a free scan so I'm wondering whether to go ahead & do it just to see that everything is okay & there's still a heart beat. I'm so close to ringing my mw, doing away with the nuchal & booking a scan in the next week for $45. Can anyone tell me if you see much at the nuchal scan? Should I just calm down & wait til then?

they see everything...you get a great look at baby(the main reason most people do it) and you can clearly see arms legs and things like that.. he/she will really look like a baby:) it was worth it for me as that was when we found out about the missed m/c last time.. because im 30 my risk was 1:619 and then it went down to 1:1276 after the scan..

I would say do the scan and find out the results. How would you feel if you did not have the scan but had a baby with problems that you were not prepared for?
I had a the scan and my results came back at 1:55. I was only 25 at the time. Needless to say we were devastated and had to go through the process of CVS. While this was really uncomfortable and I was an emotional wreck for a couple of weeks, the result and outcome were worth it.
I will be having the NT scan next time purely to see baby and regardless of the results, I will also have another elective CVS.
