Topic: just pregnant Posted: 08 December 2006 at 12:55pm |
Hi there, I am also another Mum due in August, (12/08).
I am 4.5 weeks pregnant now and is my first. Am a little bit nervous as don't know what to expect.
I haven't felt any MS yet at all, a little bit of cramping is going on but not alot. We are going to tell my parents tonight, we will wrap up a little baby tshirt and write on it: Congrats on being grandparents or something like that.
Just working out what i can and cant' eat, a quick question can i eat canned salmon? Someone said to keep away from canned goods, but am not sure??
I had Blood Tests done on Tuesday (only 2 days after period due) and the HCG was 110, is this about right?
Thanks for all your help.

I've been eating canned tuna and had no problems.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Not sure about canned fish (not a seafood fan)... but welcome to Oh Baby! There's a thread in General Chat called "Let me introduce myself..." if you want to read about some of the rest of us

Welcome to OHbaby! I must be the resident food nut during pregnancy here coz I avoided just about EVERYTHING! But canned fish is 100% safe, and canned salmon is a great source of calcium and omega 3 which are good for bubs development.
And 110 is fine for 2 days after AF was due. The importnat thing with hCG levels is that they double every 2 days initially. One number on it's own doesn't really show much.

YAAAY!! Another August mum!
Welcome to the forums Sars, I'm a newbie too, and I'm also just pregnant with my first. I'm 5.5 weeks now, and it is all pretty scary but we'll get through it.

One of you girls should start up a "due in August" thread. But anyways, welcome to OhBaby, congrats on your little "beans" and hope your pregnancies are smooth-sailing
