Topic: Kicking??? Posted: 21 January 2008 at 3:07pm |
Question for those of you further down the track than me - what does kicking feel like? I've been sitting quietly at the computer and getting a "bubbly, fizzy" feeling particularly on the left hand side of the bump, and no, it's not gas!
I know the books say first timers can feel the kicks from 16 weeks on, but my MW was saying it can be up to 22 weeks.
Am I right thinking it's kicking, or am I just being optimistic???

I'd say it's kicking/movement alright
Just wait for the squirming to start, it's awesome! (She says while a foot pokes through her skin).

Yeah I started feeling movements around 17 weeks but couldn't quite believe they were real as it seemed too soon. Mine felt like bubbles - the sort you would get in a water cooler.

I started feeling movement at about 15 weeks, mine felt like a weird little twitch down really low, I didnt think anything of it to start with but then it kept happening when i was lying on my back, then christmas eve I felt it really quite strong! and there was no dening it was baby. Now he kicks me really hard lol, my tummy moves and bounces, and he squirms alot too hehe that feels weird! I can also feel "bubbles" sometimes which I think may be when he changes postions or something and when he gets comfy he proceeds to kick and punch me to his hearts content! Im 20 weeks today so its VERY possible to feel movement early, Im living proof

Yeah I think it is movement too, I felt movement around the 15 weeks mark that was like squirming and by 18 weeks I could feel definate kicks.

Yep, mine does the same thing. I first felt Maya at about 17 weeks, felt the gremlins and this one much earlier at about 13 weeks.

Agree with the rest they are movements. The first ones are like butterflies in your tummy.

I first felt Caitlyn kick at 20 weeks, was the best feeling....sometimes she kicks me if shes having a tanty , which is not so great seeing as she has been out of my womb for a while and the novelty has worn off .........
