I was talking to my cousin this morning and she asked how I had been feeling. It told her that I have been lucky not to suffer really at all from morning sickness. She straight away said "Oh you must be having a boy then".
Apparently all her friends who had boys didn't have much sickness and the friends who had girls did.
Does any one have any opinions on this - just out of curiousity really!
Is there anyone who had bad morning sickness and then had a boy or anyone who didn't have much sickness and then had a girl?

I had NO preggy sickness with Kiya at all - I was 18 to 20 weeks before I even knew I was pregnant, that's how much I didn't get sick!
I had constant nausea making me feel pretty miserable with Josiah from about 5 weeks until close to 16 weeks pregnant.
I've had waves of nausea making me retch (sorry if TMI) this time, so who knows!

I'm usually the exception to the rule, though!

One of my friends has 2 girls and a boy, and she had terrible preggy sickness with all of her pregnancies... when she was pregnant and NOT sick, she miscarried. She had 2 miscarriages (one inbetween daughter 1 and daughter 2, one inbetween daughter 2 and son) and she told me that the amount of preggy sickness she had was her way of telling if it would be a viable pregnancy or not!

That only seems to work for her, though...

I had no morning sickness just some odd fainting episodes and I had a Girl first time round. I was also in my same jeans when I was 5 months, exercising heaps, put on weight which was not really noticeable - in my same bra til after she was born and lost weight really fast and was happy ...and cruised along no worries!

This time I was really crook...I have gone up three sizes in bra so far..I have not been able to wear any of my "normal jeans" since I was 2 months..I have been up and down and all over the place emotionally and had no fainting dramas plus am lazy as anything!!!

HmmM.... I wonder if that means I am having a boy. I hope so!!!

Couldnt be two different pregnancies really.

Im not sure how true these "theories" are!!!

i have had morning sickness with all three of my pregnancies, it has gotten worse each time. this pregnancy i was REALLY ill (ew yuck!) and i have got two girls and we were told that this wee one in me at the moment is another girl.
my sister had no morning sickness and had a boy, then she had mild morning sickness and had a girl.....
so i guess we stick with the trend!!!
sick=girl
not sick=boy

but everyone is different

I have no idea if mine's a boy or a girl, but I did have morning sickness (hmmmm... that's not much help at all is it?!?). My father-in-law (they have 8, so know a bit about babies!) rekons from their experiences that if you're sick as a dog, it's a boy, and if you don't suffer morning sickness, it's a girl. Wouldn't suprise me if boys gave you more trouble from the start!

Mum was sick with a girl, then a bit sick but not as badly with another girl then a boy.

I was sick as a dog having Maya (ended up on IV fluids and all sorts of yucky stuff) and she's a girl. This time round I also had chronic m/s althoughno hospital visits, and it seems to have worn off earlier (from what I can remember of my pregnancy with Maya I felt revolting till about 16 weeks, now I am 12 and feeling slightly better). And I'm having twins - which is supposed to make it worse!I do still chuck every morning tho, and if I don't eat frequently enought during the day I go downhill pretty quickly.

I had preggy sickness (not just the morning!) all the way through to the point I had to go in to hospital twice and I had it all the way through until AFTER the birth. I had a boy.
This time around it hasn't been so bad, preggy sickness wore off around the 20 week mark and I'm having another boy if the scan is right...My midwife said that could be because I'm still breastfeeding son #1 so the hormonal change isn't so bad or something like that?

I think it is very dependant on each person. The only time I didn't get sick was when I miscarried but I'm not sure if that means anything.

I wasn't sick at all with Hannah (didn't find out for 16 weeks) although remember a couple of weeks of feeling a bit off-colour and trying to tell everyone I had a mild version of a tummy bug going around.

My second pregnancy (short though it was) I felt gross from 6 weeks til 9 weeks (which could have gone on longer). Didn't throw up though.

Hey, I had it with both my boys. My first wasn't too bad I was still able to go to work but with the second one, I was violently ill and hospitalised twice and each of those times, everyone said to me that I was having a girl.
WRONG!!!!
