Topic: Losing my marbles... Posted: 20 April 2006 at 2:42pm |
Thought this might give a few of you a chuckle ! I got home after my outing with mum and having got my chores done etc decided to make lunch. I open the fridge as I needed milk, and *drumroll*, it's not there. I knew it should still be in the house because I'd used it just this morning for breakfast, but I searched high and low, in the cupboards, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, freezer, toilet, you name it ! And still nothing. I thought, this really takes the cake, I've managed to lose almost a whole 2L of fresh milk (mum had only bought it for me yesterday) - this must be the ultimate in preggy brain. So I settled for making powdered milk, and was going to pick some more milk up later this avo.
However, I then hear noises downstairs... nothing scary, as I realised it was just my FIL and his partner coming in - they used to live in the granny flat downstairs until they bought a house up north at Snells Beach. So I went down to say hi, and lo and behold - guess who'd borrowed the bl**dy milk !! *sigh*
I hope my marbles enjoyed their vacation, my FIL laughed when he saw the stunned look on my face as I spied the missing milk in his hand and then explained what had just been happening. Pity I hadn't figured it out before I spilled my guts to DH, who couldn't quite believe it either
Anyway, going to go finish my lunch now and open my parcel from my MIL in the states, more baby stuff !!

Holy moly ! JUST finished going through my parcel and this kiddo definitely has enough clothes LOL I swear my MIL is a folding expert, because here's the list of what she sent:
(And yes, I cheated and copied and pasted it from my MSN convo with Becca, coz I was too lazy to type it all out again !)
J-Bird says:
(For me) Two woollen sweaters, 3 long sleeved stretch cotton tops, 1 button up long sleeve shirty shirt with matching singlet for underneath, & 1 floral long sleeve gauze type top with tie around middle and lace around neckline...
J-Bird says:
Now as for baby...
J-Bird says:
One VERY cute pink sheep toy
J-Bird says:
and
J-Bird says:
two long sleeved stretch cotton jumpsuits with snap-fasten crotches, with matching stretch cotton pants, and a matching *reversible* jacket with little hood. 3x snap-up velour stretch and grow suits, 1x stretch cotton suit, & four pairs of socks !!
*whew* !! I think I need a nap now LOL

LOL Ok ok, here are some photos
Sheepy !
One of the velour suits, pink w/ snowflakes (has "feet" attached)
Two of the jumpsuits (snap-under crotch) and the matching pants
Reversible jacket that matches the suits just above it
One of the cotton suits with "feet", pink with bunnies
One of the floral tops for me
One of the sweaters
and last but not least, one of the stretch cotton tops in purple... and the irony didn't even hit me straight away when I first saw it LOL
And that's really only half of the stuff that was in the box too ! I swear, the box didn't even look that big (But am in no way, shape or form, complaing about it... hehehe)
