Topic: Lost, AGAIN. grrrr Posted: 29 June 2007 at 4:09pm |
Ok so this time it was both of them not just one. I took them to Sylvia Park for lunch and after lunch they got up and walked around the corner of the booth we were sitting, i put the stuff back in the pushchair and lo and behold they were both gone. I swear it was only half a minute if that. so anyway here i am frantically checking the food court and the playground and asking a few people, but nothing...i even ring my husband at work to tell him i lost the kids... then i see the secutiry lady on her phone and i go tell her i have lost my kids and she says "oh two little ones" - aaarrrgghhh yes thats them, theyre in the parent and child toilets... i get there and toby has no nappy on but his track pants are still on. there were about half a dozen people in there all looking at me like i was the worse mother in the world and i felt like it too. apparently they were in the toilet together and some mother must have wondered where their mother was so reported it to security... ggggrrrrrr, those boys are going to kill me!!!!!

Oh geepers creepers! I don't know if I've said it before, but I quite like these posts because it lets me know I'm not the only one who has lost my child! I lost her in Farmers this morning, but luckily I found her as I went straight to the toy section, and there she was.
Anyway, so you aren't alone! And you are definitely NOT a terrible mother (because if you are, that means I am, and we can't be having that!)

Glad you found them although bet you got a few grey hairs from that worry... reminds me of my daughter she was always running off (although i only had her not two conspiring with each other) I am afraid at 9 she still walks off but at least now she will come back too.

A couple of ladies I work with once told me while I was pregnant that you're not a real mother until you've lost your kids

Well I used to wander off all the time and get lost, there was NOTHING my mother could have done to stop it, i was just too tricksy and slippy. I wanted to do what I wnted and now I am an intelligent determined adult - so i reckon it is all good!

Isn't it amazing how we only need to turn around for a few seconds and in that time they manage to disappear...yet ask them to tidy up or do something and it takes them hours
Must have been scary!

That happened to me at the airport yesterday. Harry was dressed in brown so blended really well but the hardest thing was keeping the panic in check because inside I was freaking out. Found him by the window looking at the planes and man was I releived!
