I have just found out I have low ferritin and hg which explains why I'm just soooo tired I can barely drag my bum off the couch... so I started taking ferrograd (or whatever it's called) today but I was just wondering how long it takes until I start to feel a little better??

You should start to feel better in about a week, it takes a bit to get through your system, especially when you are very low in iron.
I was severly low in iron with DD and had to have an iron infusion at 36 weeks(via IV in hospital YUCK), and even that took about 4 days to pump right through.

I had really low iron as well. Just make sure you take the tabs with orange juice it helps the iron absorb more effectively.

I felt better within 3-4 days I was taking 3 day though.

If its ferrograd C it has vit c with it so dont need to worry about that...

It can take up to 2 weeks but thats on the longer side so hopefully in by the end of the weekend you should be feeling a bit better

It takes on average 3mths for iron levels to get back to normal then the storage lasts for 6mths. Though you will start noticing a difference soon.

Yeah lol, my HB was 80 and I had no stores I was one very sick girl! They wouldnt do the jabs as they didnt want to take any chances. With Caden I had a big blled during the CS and my HB dropped to 66, and that was from a HB of 111 when I went into surgery.

I noticed a big difference even just the first day but had constipation real bad. It took me a week or two for my body to get used to the tablets and then I was all good after that. That was with good haema but very low ferritin - and ferograd c.

Another tip: Take it at least an hour (preferably 2) after (and before) having anything with calcium, as the ferrous binds with the calcium and won't absorb.

Hope you feel better soon
