Oh poor you Gapling, but as Waterbaby says, there are plenty of healthy babies born to women who smoke and drink the whole way through!
AFM, my MS has not been great the last two days. Luckily I am not working or not sure how I would have coped. I haven't actually thrown up as yet, but the feeling of not being able to move off the couch incase I do is bad enough!
Just feel like blobbing today too, but have some work to do, and really need to go do some shopping!

Newbabe - international have to stop flying around 14 weeks then go onto ground duties! Our girls usually fly to around 8 months, so I was planning on doing that too. Although i remember Lisa-Maree stopped work in the first trimester but that was due to severe MS.
The odd trip like what you and I have done recently shouldn't cause any problems. But if I feel it's getting too much, I'll just request lots of NSN returns at cab-sec! haha Taut will hopefully still be accommodating for me. I told him what has been going on so I could guarantee the time and days off for treatment. He's be so good with both cycles!!

whole weekend off again. not getting many hours at work but i'm secretly relieved because i'm sooo exhausted.

Yay for the MW appt jessicajanea! I just had to reschedule mine cos of my due date change!
Yeah some places are nicer for scans! I went to Horizon with DD but went to Auckland Radiology for her first one, that one cost $20 and they gave me an xray style print instead of a normal one which is annoying for scrapbooking lol.
When I went into have the dating scan, I got a bit of a fright, one of the Mums of one of my Brownies was the receptionist!! Luckily shes a really lovely one! I compented that I really liked the radiographer I got and did't so much like the other guy and she said she'll make sure I always get a good one.. yay!
Just had a 2 hour nap and still feel yuck :(

Oops. Hi everyone. I'm a bit late to the party. I'm almost 10 weeks with my first, due on the 16th of March. Pretty excited. I wish it would just be March already though.

Hi ladies! Internet went down at their end this afternoon and it's only come back on! Felt so lost without it!
Slight relief! My levels have gone up to 19157 from 1895 Monday last week. It's still low, but it has shot up, and seems to be around the 72 hours doubling mark. The nurse actually sounded a bit excited for us. We're not out of the woods yet but have a scan tomorrow to get a final answer about what the hell is going on! I'm really hoping we have a heartbeat. DH couldn't believe you can see a heartbeat so early! So until then I'm continuing to pray for a miracle.

Welcome Bingy! My DP and I say the same thing. Wish we could fast forward to March! It seems like a long wait, but I'm pretty sure the time will fly by!

Welcome Bingy!
As for me, I could fast forward to the 12 week and 20 week scan but I don't think I'm anywhere near ready to be a Mum of two!! So much changes with a baby!
Oh and FX for you Gapling!! Sounds positive!

gapling- so good to hear about your levels, sounds very promising. Im glad Taut is accomodating you situation! Cant believe hes still there.
good luck to all the ladies going to scans and MW appointments in the coming days ahead.
We told my step children today. Step sons reaction..."really OMG is there really a baby in there", and then at bed time he kissed my belly and said to the baby "p.s i love you". Was so uber cute!
My step daughter is a whole nother kettle of fish. She literally walked out of the room and spent the rest of the evening moping around and crying...girls have way more emotions than boys do that is for real!
We are hoping she will come around to the idea. All we can do is reassure her that our feelings for her will not change...their mum just had a baby, and she has told me that my step daughter gave her the exact same response but now that baby has arrived she is in absolute admoration. FX Its also a big deal for her, 2 new sibblings whithin a year!

...my step kids are 9 and 10yrs. They were 4 and 5 when i met my husband, so ive spent a good half their life with them. My step daughter does not like any "New comers"...i suspect she will adore this one once she sees him/her though. FX

Gapling- hope the scan goes well.
I must be weird, but I enjoy being preg and dont want to fast forward it just yet,....well I havent loved all the anxiety of this first trimester after my mc last time,...and Im sure I will be moaning and wanting to speed things up in the heat of summer,..but this will be our last baby,...and there is something sooo amazing and special about growing a baby inside you,...awww.
We have a girls named picked, but once again will struggle for a boys name- I have ideas of names I like that I had on the list for when we named DS,...but DH doesnt love any of them. We definatly wont find out the sex, so will have to really try harder to find a boys name,..I know we have ages but we hadnt decided ion DS's name til the night before he was born, and even then we werent really sure.
Today is the day that in the last pregnancy I started to bleed, then mc the following evening. Im feeling ok, have had some very anxious moments/days over the last few weeks, but have slept better the last 2 nights and havent had the nasty dreams. Did only get 5 1/2 hrs sleep last night tho but thats cos I worked til 11.30pm, and woke when the kids did at 6am.
Right better go make the 2 birthday cakes I need to get done for partys tomorrow. Will be spending all evening icing them , as it is!

Gapling good luck for your scan today, HCG's look positive so fingers crossed you have some good news to share with us.
Keolyn, my 12week scan will be at Insight Radiology in Takapuna. Perhaps because I use and OB this is why I am going through a "private" scanning group. All my other scans are done in my OB's rooms.
newbabe I am sure the kids will be absolutely smitten once bub comes along. Change is good for them I think and can only make them stronger long term.
Kellz hope today is a better day and that the bday cakes go smoothly.
Got an update on my health insurance last night with some changes they are making and they have increased the value of claims per year for Obstetrics to $700.00 per year. The good thing about being due the year after getting UTD is I can make 2 claims so will be $1400.00 cheaper than we had thought so am absolutely stoked
DH has his first test today so an anxious day ahead. He got my wee care package and got quite emotinal - not quite the intended result. On a positive his floor mates loved the choc slice I sent and the Rescue Remedy helped him to sleep so some positives.
Can't believe tomorrow is the 12week mark for us. Gosh next Wed scan can't come soon enough - I am hoping maybe they have a doppler but not sure how early you can hear the heart - sucks that DH won't be there but will use the good old i-ohone to record it.

You can usually hear the heartbeat on the doppler from 12 weeks. They dont try before then, and u cant always hear it then either, but doenst mean its not there. Im hoping to hear the heartbeat at at my 12 week mw appt too. 11 weeks tomorrow.
