I have a climber too, OMG he got into a bit of trouble at kindy the other day when he climbed up on to the puzzle shelf and then fell off. He needed a lot of cuddles.
Stink you have been sick too BS there is a lot of that going around.

Hi all. Hope everyone has had a great week. Noah seems to be settling in to daycare well. No tears when we dropped him off at all this week but a friend of mine said not to be surprised if after 2 weeks he has a meltdown. Something about it dawning on him that this isn't a temporary thing. He's had a little bit of a runny nose this week but seems to take it all in his stride. Walking so much more confidently now. Little ray of sunshine. DH much easier to live with now he's at work too.
Shaz - what do you do with your older girls in the school holidays? I've booked Christopher in to our staff childrens holiday programme. Thankfully they had spaces left cos I had totally forgotten about it till last Friday!! Its so good as its heavily subsidised by our HR dept so its only $15 a day - a third of what others charge.
Been super duper busy at work this week. Happy that its the weekend. Not much planned at all. I like these kinds of weekends.

I wish we had some sort of staff childcare scheme that would be so cool as all our kids know each other and are great friends (most of us started together 20 years ago and had kids about the same time). But this holidays we are just sharing the time between my mum,DH and me. Thats pretty much what we do every school holiday. But DH never seems to take as much leave as me and his builds up so fast then he says he doesn't want to waste it on school holidays . I have told him spending time with his kids is not a waste!!!!
Sorry to hear you've been so sick BS I was starting to wonder where you had got to.
We've had two accident reports at DC so far one fall and one bite. She stole another kids Dummy and he was not impressed so he bit her on the thumb.
We haven't had any meltdowns at DC yet but she only went once this week as she is sick so she may not be so keen to go back next week. She might have started to think that was all over.
Should be a fun(not)night tonight we are having Alex's sleep over they are currently dancing to High School Musical yippee. We have Alex, Abby, Amanda, Amy and Zoe oh yeah and Alyssa whats with these A names.
10 year olds are very loud!

Yeah I did wonder why he was being overly upset. I could feel 5 have come through and 3 more sitting in the gums. He did love it when I was having a feel around in there as I put a bit of pressure on them.

Big ouchies mummy becks. Hope all those teeth pop out sooner rather than later.
We've had a couple of 5am wake ups this week BS and I think it might have had something to do with the cold weather we've been having. We had heaters on all night last night and much of this morning too. Def getting colder down here. It does suck when you have so much to do before going on holiday and then usually come back to a pile of stuff too. Hope your time at work goes quickly today though and Ella has fun at swimming. Cute at feeding tiger brekkie. Hope you are feeling better. Hugs.
We are really lucky with the holiday programme through work Shaz. Sooooo cheap. It costs my SIL $35 for each of her two boys so $70 per day and thats $700 for the whole school holidays. In the past we've taken turns looking after our three boys and thats worked ok. Might do that later in the year.
Thinking about going in to work later on today aswell - quite a bit to do. I made tonight's dinner last night as well as a couple of dinners to go in the freezer and my first ever attempt at pumpkin soup to take for lunches this week. Its really yummy. Feeling quite proud of myself if not a little housewifey LOL!! Hmmmmm could really do with a coffee... How was botany yesterday BS?

I'm so excited, last night I was looking at flights to OZ for September and I found some for me and the boys for $800 return. I rang my mum straight away and when my dad got home from soccer last night (11pm OZ time) he booked the tickets for me. I am so happy and excited that we are finally going. Now I just have to get Josh's passport. Andrew has his from when he was a baby (his photo is him at 3 weeks old ), and mine is still in my maiden name (my mum was a bit shocked about that), but it'll cost me $300 odd for a new one as i'm an aussie.

Yay for Ozzy holiday Becks. Three of my work mates and I are going next year for Mine and my mate Dales 40th B'day's. We have been saving $20.00 a fortnight for about 2 years now so far we have about $3800.00 between us and another year still to go. So lots of shopping, eating and I'm sure drinking will be going on . We haven't decided a destination yet we are still tossing up between Melbourne and Brisbane. I've never been to Brisbane just Surfers Paradise and the theme parks. But I love Melbourne so kind of hoping that will be where we go, not that it really matters we will have a great time anyway.
We've also been thinking about going all to Disneyland when we all get made redundant (with kids and DH's not just us this time). We won't be going with the Kids With Arthritis this year, just can't afford to so maybe we will go in a few years time.

Yay for Aussie holiday becks, we are planning on one as well, need to get over and see my sis and my nephew (who I haven't meet yet. Hope Josh's teeth come through soonish without too much hassle. Elle has a few of her own ready to burst through.
BS - hope you are starting to feel better, it sucks being sick!
Shaz - I had a wee laugh about Alyssa pinching someones dummy, sounds like something Elle would do, in fact she does, but poor wee thing getting bit for it!
Am up early (for my day off) as we are off to meet up with Kels and Lu (james) and Katie and all the kids, yay can't wait! Since we live quite a drive out of town I thought I had better get up early and get organised!
Elle is getting the hang of walking, she can go about 20 odd steps now, and heaps more confident on her feet. We have my wee sis coming tomorrow for a week, so am quite excited bout that.
Better go get my butt in the shower!

I spoke too soon about the meltdown at DC she did it this morning.
So BS your theory was correct as she has been there for two weeks. I hope it is just this once because it's just too sad walking away. I'm also thinking it's because she has been sick and hadn't been since last Monday so probably thought she wasn't going to have to got back.

OUCH BS, poor Ella. Bet that left a mark
This might seem like a stupid question now but do you play the piano Ro?
Sounds like you grabbed a good bargain with all your holiday shopping too.
I've been getting all the cheap sweatshirts & pants in the sales for bub around home, I don't care if they bobble after washing. They will do the trick.
Does anyone here use woolen singlets on bub? I managed to pick up a couple from BF for only $5.00 each, they were infantino brand and long sleeved onesies. Cheapest you'll ever pick them up too.
Shaz I hope things get better re: Alyssa and her daycare meltdown.
We went round to Nana's last night as it was her B'day, Lucas put on a nice show for her - took about 18 steps without stopping. If it wasn't for the oil heater leg he tripped on I'm sure he would have kept going too Was very cute, picking up speed and all.
Have a nice day ladies.

I think we are sorted for clothes (I still have all of Andrew's) but I do know I need to get some thermals for the boys.
Josh's teeth are popping through now very fast and he is so grizzly poor boys it must hurt them all coming through .
BS we'll have to work out when you are going to come down to Sibera for the weekend, i'll be up in your neck of the woods in September (and over in oz at the same time) but August is good for me.

Oh dear sounds like Ella is in the wars BS. It get to the point you don't want to take them out in public when they are covered in bruises ....even though you know they are all innocent. People still look at you funny.
Natasha always had black eyes which was really embarrassing but she insisted on running forward while looking backwards, actually she hasn't improved much still really clumsy .
