Topic: Morning sickness Posted: 10 May 2007 at 2:13pm |
Hi, just wondering when everyone started to get morning sickness and then how long did they have it for. Just trying to see when I can expect it to subside a little bit!

Mine started bang on 6 weeks and stopped around 14 weeks. It varied from day to day and lessened significantly towards the end.
Hope you're feeling better soon Kirsten!

Between 6 weeks and 18 weeks I had morning sickness where I vomited most days, then between about 28-35 weeks I had nausea most days at about 2pm but only vomited a few times.
Mine would subside for a few days just to trick me into thinking it had gone, then it would come back when I least expected it!

Mine started pretty much as soon as I conceived and lasted up to 17 weeks. This isn't the norm, so don't take that as being gospel...just runs in my family! I had to vomit every morning plus during the day often and felt nauseous ALL day. I'm finding I'm getting the nausea back in the mornings now that I'm in my last trimester...

Mine started around two weeks (way before i knew) with severe nausea, then come 6weeks when i knew it developed into full on morning sickness and i got hospitalised twice, its only just starting to ease up now, (well i still throw up about 2-4times a day) and im 13weeks, but have been told that mine probably wont go til 20weeks, but everyone is different

Mine started at 6 weeks and hasn't stopped yet ( 25 weeks!) !!! I still throw up most days. I'm lucky if I go a day or two with just nausa.
I'm just thankful that it's not all day like it was. I can handle a quick puke in the mornings

Mine started at about 6 weeks and lasted until 14 weeks. I remember my 8th week as being the worst though.

I started getting morning sickness from week 4 and had nasea and vomiting until about 16-17 weeks, but had constant nausea right up until Caleb was born. But everyone is different you really cant predict it. The 'normal' time for it to stop is when you get to the second trimester or approx 12 weeks.

The tiredness never stopped for me, not even in the so called energy burst second tri. The faint feelings of nausea stopped bang oon 12 weeks. I never threw up other than gagging when brushing my teeth.
My sister had it right to the end though with both pregnancies, so you never know what is going to be thrown at you!

I was nauseous from about week 3 (before we even knew) and throwing up from week 5 but then it turned into severe hyperemesis (constant vomitting) and I ended up in hospital at week 20. I'm on really strong anti-nausea tablets now and its way better.
I find that the more I drink the better I am - about 4 litres a day is good and it helps settle the hunger pangs too

this time around i was naucious 24/7 it was horible.
1st time round i couldnt keep anything down at all even water.
but try those wrist band things for sea sickness, and anything with ginger in it helps. this time my doc gave me some pills that worked a treat, so if its bad ask your doctor for something

from about week 4 and i was still throwing up for a day or so after i had tash.
i found the sea sickness band did nothing. ginger ale was the best thing in the world. i lived off it but i have heard heaps of different remidies but find something that works for u. i actaully ended up have accupuncture which i think made it worse.
hopefully u feel better soon.
