Hey everyone. I'm a newbie here!
My name is Lou (short for Louisa), my hubby is Simon...we have been married for one year in June. We live in the best city in NZ, Wellywood!

We are currently TTC but having some issues due to the evil PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome)
Currently seeing a specialist who has said "LOSE WEIGHT"...so thats basically where we are at! I am also taking metformin to assist the PCOS systems!

Congrats to all those expecting bubs!
Baby dust to all those trying!

Cheers
Lou

Hi and welcome - you'll love this site and be addicted so very very soon. I hope that things turn out for you, i have heard a great deal of good things about metformin so hopefully that works for you and we'll be seeing a baby ticker for you sooner rather than later. still you'll find a heap of support here from everyone whether we have babes or are TTC like you. Welcome!

xander would be great with xanthe, but my nephew is called zandar - derived from alexander, which is a family name. I really like zann for a boy though. could be zann or xann i guess.

dh wont consider it though, and i guess it would be awkward - i work with a zann, which is where i first saw the name. i love the name, but he would get such a big head about it! dont think it is worth it....

Firstly, I would like to say *whupping Jess upside the head* that I am most certainly not crazy. Everyone is just jealous

And secondly, welcome to OHbaby Lou! As you'll be able to see, most of us have cracked completely

Hey BinkasMum... do you have a lot to lose? I have tonnes (ok, tonnes might be a slight exaggeration, but its definately a lot hehe)

I said that to the specialist too about losing weight...easier said than done! I seem to have to say it a lot to DH as well.

Don't worry Ginger... I'm blissfully ignorant about your ladle? Maybe I'll catch on soon. Hehe

I can highly recommend the tummy bug I caught prior to Christmas. I lost 8kg! Not that it's getting me very far in the great TTC battle

Ug!

The story ...nay! legend of the ladle is great Lou! Especially since it's gotten completely out of hand

Ha Xanthe's mum, I had the same problem, after having paris what could i pick for my next child? i mean we couldn't just pick a plain jane kinda name - we needed something just as pretty and unique. you will find something. ours just happened to also end up as another place name, but wasn't meant to be that way, slowly it worked its way from the very bottom of the 'maybe' list and just jumped to the top one day, and she's been that ever since. So now we have Paris Harmony and Ayja Nicole.

< language=> Idealily I need to lose 17kgs to get me back to 71kg's which apprently is what im supposed to sit at (Im 5ft 7") but the frustrating part is that depending where I am in my cycle my weight fluctuates (between 85-89kg) and no matter how good I eat or how much i exercise (I walk pretty much everyday plus try to do a cardio workout 2-3 times a week) the damn thing wont budge. Before I had PCOS i could lose weight fine but now its a whole different kettle of fish. I have just over a month to get my BMI under 30 (its currently 31) so that if i qualify I can have IVF straight away. HUH at this rate fat chance of that happening!!!

BTW you dont want to know about the ladle story...... otherwise you might have to get on our bandwagon too......

that sucks Binka's mum, espeicially wiht PCOS as it is so much harder to lose weight. I am the same and need to lose, but am kind of in denial about it.
