Right so I got one today and honestly the instructions are useless! Does anyone know of a video on how to put your baby in one and have them positioned right? I have it adjusted to the right size for me, but Lily keeps ending up sitting instead of laying down with her face clear. SO ANNOYING. I'm tempted to take it back ><

I could never work mine out when DS was little! It's great now he's a toddler though, I can use it to carry him on my hip

Its just so annoying because I want something to carry her around in instead of having to take the pram all the time. She's only 6 weeks old so it's going to be a LONG time before she's sitting up making things easier. I have a front pack as well but it really hurts my back.

Check out their website, I cant remember if there is a video on there but there are instructions. From memory you need to have bubs head on the seam (there are 2 depending on which shoulder you have the strap over).

Try searching it on You Tube They have everything
You could try Moby wrap or something similar might be a bit easier

Yup, hated mine when my babies were tiny. They just seemed to get lost in there and I couldn't figure out how to get them right.
Agree that they're great for toddlers though!

I had borrowed one with Keira from a friend and I could never get the hang of it.
With Maddi I ended up with a Moby wrap and a D and Z sling and they were both a million times better... I my moby.
I would be tempted to take it back if its not working for you, there are so many different baby carriers out there you really need to find the one that works best for you.

The slingbabies website has good instructions for them link
Hope that helps. I have a moby and love it. I'm about to make a pouch sling for quick hip carries and looking into buying and ergo or manduca too. I love carrying Esme!

LOL, there's definitely a reason there are lots of NS slings on TM. Not so great once you've bought one though.

MissAngel - I have a moby wrap too. best money (my partner) has ever spent lol. I love it! its fantastic! they have a really easy to follow instruction booklet for different types of carry holds, and can be used from prem through to 35lbs, and you just tie it up before you leave home, and quick and easy to get them in and out while you out and about. and easily can be done by one person (so dont need OH to help or anything)
even my DP wants to wear it now. and DS loves being able to look out and see whats going on. and so much easier around stores and public transport.
We had a baby first sling, but tbh ive only used it 4-5 times, until we got the moby instead.
do you have any friends (OB or otherwise) close by with different types of slings or wraps that you could trial for a shopping trip or something?

MissAngel, where did you get the sling from? I bought one from Nature Baby in Newmarket and the sales assistant there was wonderful at showing me how to use it. I was pregnant at the time, and she spent at least 20 minutes with me & a baby-sized doll making sure I knew how to put it on and take it off. Perhaps you could go to the shop and have them show you?
(Having said that, DS now prefers a front pack that some friends gave us second hand as he can see so much more, so I really didn't use the sling for very long.)

DH bought ours at the PC show when i was pg.. they showed him how to use it and he likes it but I always thought Jake looked so uncomfy.
We still have it and DH uses it with Jake on his hip now when they are watering the garden or a quick shop trip.
I hated it, could never get it on properly so ended up getting a moby.
Seems to be a major flaw, perhaps they should be alerted to this page! Might fix the issue LOL

Mine came from trademe. No way I could afford a new one! I might actually be cheeky and go into baby factory or something and see if they'll help me. Theres so many of them for sale on TM that I cant see mine selling.
Unfortunatly I dont have many friends in chch - and none I know of (except for one who is super skinny with a pouch sling) have slings. I may be wrong. But yea. I CAN make one - its just getting the time lol.
