I'd keep testing if possible in case you ovulate late in your cycle. Do you temp? It might be worth doing that or going to the docs to get the tests to see if you're ovulating.

Also, with your negatives is there a 2nd line at all or just one line completely? If there's a faint 2nd line it might be worth testing at different times of the day.

I never had much luck with OV tests, more often than not they were negatives but I was certainly ovulating (was also charting and bloods confirmed also) - they can be a bit hit and miss and can become quite expensive if your not too sure of when in your cycle to test.

Can you use other methods like CM to help, or charting (tho' I think I read in another thread you've tried that too)... other than that I'd suggest a talk to you doc about options like blood tests to tell you if you're OVing.

Hi Oxy
Do you test at the same time every day? What time do you test? In order to get accurate results you have to test at the same time every day or you might miss the surge. Also it's best not to use FMU - I think the tests recommend testing between 1pm and 8pm or something like that. Are you seeing the lines get darker at all or are they all just staying the same?

Like Angie I found Ov tests never worked for me either even though I knew I was Oing (again like Angie I had charts and blood tests confrim - hey Angie I wonder if the endo makes our hormones not show up or something!).

I read your other post which said you've been trying for 10 months now I think it was. Have you been tracking your cycles and charting or anything like that? You say your longest one is 36 days - does that mean you have erratic cycles?

ETA: Your other post said you tried charting - were you temping or just tracking your cycle length?

I do tend to tests at different times mostly I test in the afternoon when I do take the test they always look the same the test line is always lighter then the control line I did get a FSH test done twice and both times it was normal I was taking my temperture when I was charting my cycles my cycles are a bit strange they very from time to time sometimes they can be 2 weeks later but then the next week my period comes

I never had any luck with OV tests, I only used them for the one month, and I never got a positive so I was worried I wasnt ovulating so all I did was made sure we BD'd atleast every second day and well that worked for us, I think as it turned out I ovulated later in my cycle because there was a 10 day difference between my LMP date and the scan date.

Hi Oxy
If your blood tests are coming back fine and your temps show that you are Oing I wouldn't worry about the negative O tests. I know I O from CM and O pains but I've never had a + Ov test

Yep, that was the advice my doc gave me right at the start - before fiddling with pee-tests for ovulation or saliva tests etc she said start by BDing every second or third day from day 8 to about day 20 (or for those with a longer cycle, about a week out from AF due date) - that way most bases will be covered... though having a DH with good stamina helps in this theory, sometimes it all got a bit much for mine!
