Okay, so I think it's fair to say that I've hit the nesting chaos. With baby #1, Sean, the house had a less than subtle aroma of lemon scented bleach from all of the cupboard, floor and wall scrubbing that I undertook for the last three months or so of the pregnancy. With baby #2, I was working full-time and doing a fair bit of travelling up to three weeks before my due date so my nesting manifested in tidying office files and moving desks around into neater alignment (yes, my staff thought I was nuts). With this wee chap, baby #3 my nesting has evolved into something FAR better. I now phone other people to come into the house to do the cleaning I don't like. Last week the carpets were cleaned, today a wonderful lady came and scrubbed out the oven. I'm thinking that next week will be window cleaning. I've also badgered the husband and the 10 year old into re-organising the pantry, bookshelves and cupboards. I think that organising and 'managing' the cleaning and nesting so that I see the benefits but not having to do it myself is a positive step...why did it take me to the third to work it out?

Hehe, need I mention again how much I am in love with my cleaner? I would marry her - if she wasn't a middle aged romanian immigrant and a female at that

oooh jealous!!
I can imagine hubbys response if I suggested nesting that way to him.
Something along the lines of "Why do we have to pay someone else to do it?"
Good on you Emeldee, I think you've worked out the perfect nesting system!

Ah, you see, I did point out to the hubby that the oven needed cleaning and that I was 'too pregnant' to get into it to clean it and shouldn't be sniffing the oven fumes anyway. Then I gave him the choice of cleaning it himself (explaining about the scrubbing and washing and the pain of getting all the oven cleaner out without it seeping onto the floor) or phone a number of a lady in the neighbourhood who would do it all, in under 2 hours and for the grand sum of $40. Needless to say, he decided that the oven cleaner lady was a better bet. I think I'll just organise the window cleaner while he's away next week in case he works out my new system.
