Just wondered if someone can give me their experiences of nightmares with their babies?
DD has been waking most nights and while it's not screaming, it's a very terrified cry. I'll go in and pick her up and she'll stop crying straight away and will just slump on my shoulder. I'll put her down and she'll almost immediately settle back to sleep again.

So she's obviously not hungry/cold/hot/wet or anything else, so I wondered if she's having nightmares. Am just about to google it to see what I can find.

Thanks!

I thought the same with my son in the last few months but anything I found on google said that nightmares don't start for some time yet so I put it down to teething or illness in the end! Let me know if you find anything else!

Yeah, we found the same but I am still convinced it was nightmares - they started around the same age as your DD. With teething or illness the crying (with DS anyway) tends to be more whingy/sad and prolonged not like those terrified screams. And also, when sick or teething he needs a lot more cuddling and settling.

HTH!
