Hi RunningT - as far as I am aware there are no practising obstitricians in Hamilton (I went looking for one when I first found out I was pregnant). My GP used to be one, but these days he is not practising. I'm afraid its all midwifes in Hamilton.

Probably too late for you now, but Dr Ravikanti was my Dr at Fertility Associates while I was trying for this bub. She was wonderful, and I totally recommend her. I haven't, of course, had any experiance with her as an obstetrician, but I don't doubt she'd do a great job of that too.

Hi there
There are practising obstetricians in hamilton- VP Singh is fantastic!! ALso Lakshmi Ravikanti. I have dealt with both with infertility and they offer themselves to those willing to pay 'privately'.

I am booked in to see another obstetrician next week as there may be a complication associated with my babies birth- minimal but the hamilton hospital antenatal team have got hold of me- there are a few public ones up there that are able to help.

Hope this helps!! :-) Good luck for your friend!

This is a website that will allow you to contact Lakshmi or VP. They are $3500 though!! eek- but so worth the peace of mind if you need it!!
