wow! Well done to you for being there for her. Imagine how much worse it would have been if she'd gone ahead with no support person. Sounds like she was royally freaked out as it was.

and for both of you. At least it ended ok. I guess that's the main thing

Thank God for that! I am done with being a support person! I actually think giving birth myself was easier!

what did she call him?

Oh and I am sure she will need more support in the coming years (not months) with 3 littlies.

The placenta had started to fail so they wanted him out sooner rather than later, he had stopped growing (IUGR)

She (or rather her cousin Ida who sat with us for half the time, and me) named him Jeremaiah, not sure how she's gonna spell it tho. We picked it coz she had no name for him so we passed the time coming up with name suggestions.

I went to visit them this morning, feeding is going OK, he's a bit jaundiced and sleepy but the postnatal midwife should be going to visit today, and someone has leant her a breastpump so I showed her how to use it. Her twins are chaos tho, she should have stayed in hospital! I told her to stay as long as she could but she was desperate to get home to the girls.

What an awful experience for her

Sounds like her pregancy/labour is very similar to mine.My son had stopped growing and was delivered at 36 weeks.I had a difficult labour and he didn't like ever time they top up the syntocinon. After 12 hours and only progessing to 7cms, heart rate dropping they opt for an emergency c-section.He spent one day in the special unit only because he had low blood sugars and was slightly jaundiced.
