Topic: Ok just to make me stress even more... Posted: 23 August 2006 at 2:33pm |
Mercedes abdominal circumference on the last scan has dropped back to the 10th percentile. I spoke to the midwife and she said not to worry, just to see what the next scan says in 2 weeks, but if the next scan shows her growth is still slow then they will deliver them. I will only be 32 weeks! Not only that, but now I will stress between now and then about whether or not she is OK!
Sienna's growth looks fine, and all of Mercedes other measurements are OK, but the abdo circ. is the most important one apparently.

Yeah of course you will stress but do keep in mind if they were really really that concerned they would deliver them now plus making it to 32 weeks with twins is still pretty good and they wouldnt deliver unless it was safe. In a scary way its pretty exciting, you could be seeing your babies soon!

Big Hugs, Emma.
I hope everything goes ok for you.
Love the names you have chosen for the girls, by the way, very pretty. Sienna is on my girls list, too

Oh, Emma - big hugs to you from me too... hope you can get your mind off this worry for a wee while at least. Will chocolate help little Mercedes's growth?!?

Hehe Andie - not sure, but it's gotta be worth a try...
Either that or the $8.99 Caramel Movenpick Willie didn't see me sneak into the trolley at Countdown the other day...

Sorry to hear this Emma - big hugs to you! I am sure your girls will both be fine, but ofcourse you will still be worried, who woudlnt be!?
But you are in good hands so thats a good thing - better to be overly cautious than not cautious enough isnt it?
I say go with the movenpick remedy - sounds most promising!

Oh Emma.....
I too wont say dont stress...as if I was in your shoes I would too. But like some said, you and your bubs will be fine. And even if they do deliver at 32 weeks its not too bad right!! Here is hoping that Mercedece grows in the next two weeks.
Eat chocolate and ice cream...sounds like a plan!!

Please dont stress too much - i know easier said than done. 32 weeks plus is a good cooked age for twins though too. Im guessing Sienna is going to be the dominant twin then?
And have to say chocolate and movenpick remedy sounds like the plan....
Good luck...

Funnily enough Bombshell Mercedes has been the bigger twin and she moves more, even was on top of Sienna at one stage, so it's kind of weird that now she's smaller.
Thanks everyone for letting me vent. Imean, my m/w really didn't seem too worried, but of course that doesn't help me and my neurosis... Still, Willie is feeling extra helpful atm...
And LOL at you Deborah - if they are still in there at 39 weeks I will be mighty unhappy! Yay for the pants tho! Am running out of pants that fit.

My cousin had the same thing with her baby and she was delivered early but only by a week or so i think. Hopefully she start to grow some more so you don't have to have them early. Goodluck with your next scan emma hope she has grown and all is well. Take Care.
