Topic: OMG! that was creepy!!! Posted: 09 July 2008 at 7:31pm |
I just had this foreign guy knock on my door - i answered it and he started babbling on about green peace blahblahblah....so anyway why i thought it was creepy was - it was 7pm, dark and freezing and he kept trying to push his way inside!!! I told him i wasnt interested and he wouldnt take no for an answer!. DH wasnt home at the time and i was on the net so couldnt grab the phone so anyway after 15 minutes he got the picture and left . I quickly rung my mum who lives across the road and told her not to answer the door and why. then DH comes home - i told him and he said oh he just got picked up by the cops at the end of our street!!! WTF!! !!!
THAT WAS FREAKY!!!

We had someone from Vodafone come round last night, and it was innocent, but I just talked to him through the door and said I was on the phone and was it important and he just left some stuff on doorstep. I think it is dodgey to go door to door on a cold, dark night. But sounds like he definitely was dodgey!

Could you contact Greenpeace or whoever and complain, that way they are aware of his pushy techiniques and you are made aware if this guy is not who he says he is and can contact police if you wanted.
definitely creepy tho whoever he is
Edited: I really should have a longer attention span shouldn't I? I missed the last sentence out which pointed out that he had already been picked up by the police Doh

OMG that is scary. I am very weary when someone I dont know is at the door, lucky we have 2 dogs in the house, so they bark like mad, which scares people away.
Plus too may gates to open, they dont like it.
But to make people door knock at that time of night, is crazy, its just worse than survey callers at 8pm at night on the phone, grrr I hate those people.

Yeah i guess we are a good target - no gates, dog tied out the back, ranchslider...but i do have a big hubby to scare them away ...if only he was home then!
I thought i felt safe because we live in a culdesac with neighbours i have known my whole life (grew up in this street) and my mum across the road, very lit street...i guess noone is ever that safe...

Ugh, that is so freaky!! I suppose this is why people just don't answer their doors sometimes, seems safer.
