Topic: one or 2 nappy bags? Posted: 18 February 2009 at 12:19pm |
For those of you with 2 or more children (mainly those with 2 or more in nappies), how many nappy bags do you have?
I have a great bag my great aunt made me which currently fits change mat, wipes, a couple MCNs, lunch box and drink bottle, plus a few extras like a change of clothes, suntan lotion etc. However I can't see it fitting all the things needed for 2 in nappies especially if we intend being out for more than a few hours.
So I was thinking to get a 2nd bag. I thought that maybe I would get one of those gr8x Traveller Nappy Bags for nappies etc when we are only out for a few hours. Then I could use the other bag as well if we are out for long, going to the parents for the evening etc.
Does this sound like a good plan or am I overdoing it?

Im only going to have one. Issy doesnt need bottles or anything anymore .. so she basically has a change of clothes (just in case) and a few nappies, should leave ample room for number twos guff.

I have two just because I can . I have an OiOi carryall that I got when I had the gremlins and it's great coz it can fit everything I need for a whole day out with all the kids - snacks and drinks for the older ones, nappies, wipes etc. plus my phone, wallet etc.
But it's quite big and bulky so I also have an OiOi messenger that I use on quick trips, I keep it stocked with a few spare nappies, a pack of wipes and a few non perishable food things like those Mother Earth fruit stick thingies and then I can just grab it when I leave the house and know I have everything I need.
It probably is a bit excessive, but meh, who cares?!

I just have the one. The samsonite brand. Has two pockets on side for bottles, change mat and two pockets inside for wipes & nappies etc. Plus a generous main pocket for the change of clothes, lunch box, formula and anything else I chuck in there. I couldn't be bothered with organising two.

I have a couple but I only ever need to take one at a time. - Just depends on my mood which one!! I mostly use my Oioi one and can easily fit things for both children in it. I just have a couple of each size nappies and a couple of bags. The wipes do for both of them. I fit everything else they need in fine for when out and about during the day.
Like you are planning to do, I take a bag each if we are going somewhere for the night and they'll be sleeping etc.

Maybe I will try with just one bag and see how I go. I actually have a few in the cupboard that I don't use but was looking for an excuse to get a new one

I have one main one which comes everywhere and has things for both Gabrielle and Tane and I also bought Gabrielle her own back pack from JK Kids which is so cute - pink with strawberries on it - that is for her for if she stays at the grandparents or has one on one time with one of us :) She barely needs anything these days anyway...

I use a Kapoochi classic carry-all nappy bag - the largest one and that fits everything in it for 3 kids for a whole day. It also has a small bag on the end of it that can unzip and be used just for a short trip out as a backpack. I wouldnt be without it! I have found it absolutely perfect for the three kids - has enough room for 4 bottles, nappies, clothes, snacks, and my wallet and other items.
