Hey W, I am in Bay of Plenty and I pay $10/week which is full use of the gym and Les Mills classes. Pretty good I think!

While i dont go anymore... i did belong to club Physical where i had a membership that locked me in for 3 months at a higher rate, but then i was able to leave anytime after that. It was $19 a week i think, which included full use of gym and pool and classes.
Auckland.

Im with Lifestyle. Only because they are the only one in the area with a creche. I pay $24 a week but i only wanted a 1 yr membership, if i wanted a 2 yr it was about $19-$22 i think from memory.
I tried a few classes but didnt really get into them, it would have been better if i had someone to go with.
For that price you get all classes, sauna, and all other gym equipment.
PM me if you have more questions etc

I pay $14.90 a week and it covers all classes and use of the gym and sauna/spa. PT is extra, and so is the creche (I pay $9 for one hour, which is for two kids). I've been pretty slack at actually going recently though...

Wow based on that info, this area is a rip off!!!! I like my gyms to have great classes like les mills, free spin classes, great equipment, a pool and a spa........and be around $20 a week.
but around here you are hard pushed to get the good classes and good equipment, you wont get a pool around here and they want you to pay $25 a week.
The cheapest around here is $15 a week and there is bugger all classes and spin is $10
I just wish someone would have a spa and a pool so I can have some variety and then relax in my rewarding spa!! Was always a great motivater when I was at a gym in Oz

Chickielou- i think its the wellington area thats a rip off! DP and I both want to join the gym but it will be $23 each a week- we only want to join for 6 months to see how it goes. She actually said that joining as a couple for 6 months will be cheaper then joining for 12months
Oh and the personal trainers dont work on a saturday- I was going to do a session with one every saturday when DP is at work. We only want to go to the gym 2 or 3 times a week because when the weather is nice we can take long walks with the dog
Hopefully one for the other gyms in the area is cheaper

I pay $84 p/m ($19 p/w) in Wellington, it's a month by month contract. It includes classes (except Zumba which is $10) but I only use the gym.
It includes 5 PT sessions, access to all Wellington swimming pools, and your choice of Kilbirnie or Freyberg gyms.
Another I looked into was Bodies under Construction in Lyall bay which looked pretty good. I know they were more expensive but they eager for my business and offered to match the weekly cost and give me an option to cancel at 6 months.
