My DP came up with a theory when I said something about how it was weird that Gerard had a gun coz NZ cops aren't generally allowed to carry them are they? So he reckons that Cheryl or Pascalle (or both) will be shot but not killed and that Cheryl will get off because Gerard wasn't supposed to be carrying the weapon and because there was no other witness outside except Pascalle that they will claim self defence... not a bad theory for coming up with it on the spot I reckon

Bugger it all, I missed the very end because we were looking for the stupid heat pump manual!! I only saw the bit where Gerard fired the gun. Please please be on TV on demand....
What did Gerard do to Pascalle?
ETA....yay for TV on demand!! I love what Pascalle did to the cop car LOL

Bexandantz, I agree, I sat there open mouthed but then was a bit like well there is no way Cheryl dies there is very much a next season and they wouldn't do it without her.
DH also said it will be a flesh wound and Gerard will get done for something.
What a programme, i'll be watching all the re-runs even though i've seen it all before

WOW! DH and I were just absolutely gobsmacked!! My theory is that Pascalle jumps in front of or pushes Cheryl out of the way and she gets shot. So can't wait for next season now.
Woohoo for Loretta and Hayden though. I thought the wedding part was well written for those characters - so typical of Loretta but you know she gives a sh*t really. So nice to see them happy together and that Loretta is now feeling "motherly" towards Jane.

Totally wasn't expecting that.
I think Gerard will die as it looked like Cheryl got an artery and I think maybe someone else jumps in front of them, like Wayne or Loretta and they get shot instead. Though will be good if no one does.

Hmmm yeah actually, it would make sense that Nicky would jump in front of them, to save Pascalle, and maybe that explains why Gerard pulled a gun, coz he hates Nicky! Surely Cheryl and/or Pascalle wont die!!!

Nicky is still is prison. Dh was told that Pascelle isn't on next season due to the chicky (can't remember her name right now) not wanting to continue with the show.

Yeah I heard the same thing so I guess it's safe to say she must have either been the target, or jumped in front of Cheryl and will die. UNLESS they were just rumours to put us all off the trail!!

LadyBee, yeah, I saw that too, some spoilers I think. Meant I had some idea of what might be coming, had a theory I voiced to DH and turned out to be right, although I didn't know who Cheryl was going to hurt.

That link from Stuff is from March of this year though so not sure how relevant it would be now but who knows! I just don't think they could do it without Cheryl. Hope they get the new series finished and on tv FAST!!
